| I gotta request off work to play in these games, I really hate to waste up vacation time if the fields are playable....

| I seriously would not take vacation time to play in a recreational softball league.

| Well we played last Friday and there was some standing water on the edges of the infield. Abney was our Umpire. He did not cancel them. Think about it, it's not really in his interest to cancel games fellas...just gives him and the rest of the guys more work to reschedule them. What sense would it make for him to cancel them willy nilly? Come on now. use your heads.

| I really think it's a decision on both parts, not just one way or the other. For instance, if it was totally up to the park district then you wouldn't have had any games on monday due to the lightening in the area! Ray Fosse games were cancelled that night, but I really feel that the true point is being missed here. They're only looking out for the best interest of all of us, and for that I'm appreciative to all involve!!!!

| Guys! Seriously. Name one single reason, just one, why John or anyone running this league would want to needlessly cancel games. Just one. It makes absolutely ZERO sense. If it's close to being able to play, it will be played. If it's not, he's not gonna put people out there and risk someone getting hurt.
It's like people think there would be a reason why he would go through the hassle of organizing a whole league, meetings, schedules, collecting monies, paying umpires and employees just so he can cancel games. Sounds like fun to me.

| Who gets paid to show up if you play or not and what are you talking about?
AND there is no way that a Monday game was canceled from rains on a Friday this year.
