| Predictions for the Skyline League before league play gets going:
Stockmens- Merged with Green Mill should be able to swing it lost Wolf from their rotation Stillwater- Have a young team that should look a lot like last year's team brought in some solid young pitching Roosters- Solid pitching and good hitting if they return majority of guys from last year Moes- Lost a couple key players from last years team but should still be able to swing it Legends- A couple good pitchers at the top of the rotation swing the bats ok Township- Always seem to hang around in games can beat the top teams but also lose to the bottom teams Tri-City Shark- Have a young team already handed Moe's a beating Hogs- Have a solid ace that can beat anybody in the league may struggle offensively Mudhens- New to league Metro Knights- Have a ways to go

| Is the Tri-City beatdown of Moes a sign that TC could potentially make a run as a top 3 team????
How did the St. Paul Mudhens fair out last summer in the SP League?

| I think the Mudhens were about middle of the pack last year in the St. Paul league but know nothing else about them. As far as Moes taking a beating from Tri-City, I'm pretty sure Moes is still missing guys that have not returned from school yet. I'm not letting this win over Moes change my mind about Tri-City just yet...

| I'm excited to see how the new Stockmen's team is this year along with the Hens. I doubt that the Tri-City team is for real even though they knocked off the notoriously tough Moe's team (although they are definitely not the same this year as in the past).

| With the addition of some GreenMill players to Stockmen's, did Stockmens get rid of some of their older players? All I have heard is that Wolf is gone....

| Overall, Stockmen's gained some solid players. I still need to see more of their starting rotation. Losing Wolf certainly hurts as I'm not sure they have anyone close to that caliber at the moment. (However, I could be wrong as the season unfolds.) For the preseason games the Irish had to make late inning comebacks to win. Since the league plays 7 inning games that could translate in a few losses because starters can last into the final innings. I would definitely put Stockmen's in the top 3 to win the Skyline. I'm wondering how Woodbury will be this year. Stillwater should have a nice team that will compete with the Irish.

| FirstTimer, are you the son of OldTimer?
Those must be some big shoes to fill. OldTimer is a very wise man.
Looking forward to seeing Moes vs. Stockmens clash together.

| scrappy...a lot of the kids that had ties to Bethel University are gone from Stockmen's roster. I think Chris Dent is the only one left from Bethel. I think it's a good mix of old with new. Dan Miller and Dan Cosgrove took over the coaching duties. I don't know if they are player/coaches or mostly hanging up the cleats...unless absolutely necessary. Someone from Stockmen's could answer what their role is regarding playing time. Bringing in Gornick should be a nice addition and Stockmen's still has the Beer Can to knock in a few runs and throw that nasty knuckle curve when times get tough!

| Miller is still a regular and I have taken the Reg Dunlop role of player/manager with emphasis on the latter.

| Looks like the St. Paul Mudhens have been welcomed to the Skyline with open arms starting out their year 0-3.
The Metro Knights will now have some competition for 2nd to last.

| White Bear Township is 4-0 in the Skyline. I haven't seen them play yet this year. Is this simply a quick start for a mid-level team or has Township snuck up to be one of the top 3 teams in the Skyline this year?

| Haha wouldn't say they are the real deal but they are definitely better than the past few years. Its clear they have added some talent and as coco puffs said they may lack pitching but I would expect them to finish in the top 4 or 5 when the end of the season comes around.

| well mr. one and only timer, after looking at townships schedule of play thus far, i can see where you would feel they aren't the real deal. their wins have been against the knights, mudhens, loggers and tricity. we can clearly say that the knights and mudhens are the oil spill of the skyline. the loggers seem to be lacking something this year. i plan on seeing them in the infmaous stockmens tourney so hopefully i can disect their issues. and ofcourse tri city who isn't exactly popular amongst the top 4 in the leauge but they have had a surprising victory or two this year (specifically taking down moes).
moral of the story, i'll one up your top 4 or 5 and say they will be top 2 or 3.

| What a nice and competitive game between Moe's and Stockmen's last night. Stockmen's win 8-7 in 9 innings, but Moe's chipped away after being down a few earlier in the game and eventually took the lead. Both Stockmen's and Moe's exchanged leads until the bottom of the 9th when Stockmen's was able to drive in a couple runs to win. A very well played game by both teams.
On a flip note: I haven't seen White Bear yet, but the board has them at 6-0 in the league. Anyone want to comment on the Township?
