| I have been in this league for a few years and its hard not to notice that the good teams are basically always the same and the bottom tier teams never seem to get a break. Well that sucks, nobody likes to loose. We never get blown out, but I dont have the player resources some other teams do. We will do our best this year, but I am sure its going to be the same 5 teams in the state tournament that are always there.

| only 3 teams from each league go to state. and I understand your frustration. But good teams just find a way to win - that will never change. Its not rocket science go to college games, talk to the players you like and ask them to play for your team. When you get one, you will open a pipeline...

| Who's fault is that?
I don't know which team you are but maybe your team is filled with a bunch of 30 year olds who should probably have taken up slowpitch softball 5 years ago.
Don't get me wrong there are plenty of very solid older players throughout the state. But the fair share of them should probably move on and let some younger guys play.
I suggest finding a couple young college guys to grow a team around. College players know lots of other college players that are always looking for teams.
Thats exactly what Moe's did. Last summer was their first year of being eligible for playoffs and they took top 6 or 7 in state. They had all young college guys that brought more college guys to the team.

| Thanks for the advice, we are older but also are a newer team in the league. At least we are playing ball and I guess thats what counts anyway.

| waddy...best of luck to you. It sounds like you and your teammates are old enough to supply the beer so you should be well liked by your opponents after the games!
Have fun and enjoy the season.
