| I just wanna say Great Job once again to the team for showing up and putting together a couple of wins on Friday Night and winning tourney #2. For the first time all year, nobody got down on anyone. Everyone picked eachother up. Maybe thats what we needed. It was definately a team effort and everyone did what they needed to do. We did what we should of done all year but will definately do from this point forward, and thats beat teams we are supposed to beat. Both games we could of just as easily lost. but instead of finding a way to lose, we found a way to win. In the passed we would of gotten down on eachother over errors or what coulda shoulda woulda. We had a handful of errors in the field, a baserunning/basecoaching mistake that could of costed us. Being down 12-4 in the 6th im sure we would of stuck a fork in ourselves A month ago. People would of been bitching and slamming shit, would of went out to the field pissed off and probably not made a play that they normally would have. Instead we picked eachother up, stayed sharp and shut them down 1-2-3 and went and won the game/championship in our half of the 7th. Which it feels pretty damn good to be on this side of a 1 run game for a change. It felt like no matter what the score was, We knew we were gonna come back and win. That 8 run deficit felt like we were tied. We had that swagger, that cockiness, That Watch this 7 spot we are about to put up. Very proud of our team for the way we came together and played, won and went out as a team. Felt like a family again.
A few things that didnt go un-noticed from Friday night.
Powell way to bring the team together on the 1st base line and remind everyone to take a pitch and be smart going into the Bottom of the 7th. Everyone listened and it payed off.
Kyle way to come up with a HUGE pinch hit that sparked that whole rally. And take a walk on a really close pitch to keep it moving. Nobody has bigger stones.
Jake and CB for talking to one another and making a switch among yourselves that proved to be a huge difference in our Defense.
The 2 guys that helped us out and will probably never read this. Thanks for coming out.
Jack for accepting the EH spot. I know you prolly mother fucked me up and down the field all night long friday night. But you didnt say a word and stayed positive and I think that went a very long way in our success Friday.
Great Team Effort fellas. Lets keep it going into the bigger tournaments.
