| It's about the midpoint of the Skyline regular season, any thoughts as to which 3 teams will represent the less respected, underdog league of Class A ball?
Township 7-0 (cinderella story?) Stockmens 4-1 (will the strong bats contiue?) Rooster 3-2 (more consistent?) Moes 4-4 (find some pitching?) Stillwater 4-4 (score more than 2 runs a game?) Tri-City 5-6 (again, consistency?) Woodbury 3-4 (cake eaters) St. Anthony 3-6 (have 2 more pitchers emerge?) Mudhens 2-5 (try the 35+ league) Metro K's 2-5 (maybe 2015)

| I haven't seen Township play yet, but 7-0 is pretty good. Stockman's are obviously one of the top teams in the Skyline, so I definitely expect them to be one of the teams to represent. It seems that Stillwater and Moe's are normally pretty tough however this season both teams just simply aren't getting it done. Is is possible that they are just waiting around until it really matters? Tri city is a lot younger team than before so I expect them to put up a good fight.
So here it is: 1. Mudhens 2. Metro Knights ....oh i'm sorry i was accidently putting down the last 3 teams
My Top three: 1. Stockman's 2. Moe's 3. Stillwater or Township ...so actually my top 3 1/2 teams

| Township is 7-0, which is good. However, they haven't played anyone other than Stillwater. I'll reserve my thoughts until they play the top tier in the conference. If they can beat Stockmen's, Moe's, and the Rooster then I'll be putting them in the top 3. Until then...we'll see.
The Rooster have played Stockmen's tough and I think they have a pretty solid team. Moe's is also a solid club and the Stockmen's, having mixed in Green Mill are a very nice group.
I'd place Stockmen's at the top, followed by Moe's and then the Rooster. It's just a guess. We'll see how July shakes out.

| Wasn't Moes suppose to be the "next dynasty" last year...Im tired of hearing about Moes.
Until the skyline can produce any run of things I am actually tired of hearing of who is good out of that league.....
Im just sayin.....

| I would place Stockmen's at the top too and the only team out of SL with a sniff.
Imagine that...Stockemn's a team that has made noise before, had some success in the tourney, they have been around for a while......
Stockmen's is the skyline!

| Well who ever said that Moe's was the "Next dynasty" was probably just having some fun on the forum, everyone knows that you have to have more than a couple good seasons to even be considered a dynasty. However...Moe's did have a pretty good run in the State Tournament last year...I believe they knocked out two #1 seeds. (Maybe that could be Township this year?) I think maybe the reason that Skyline isn't such a powerhouse league like all the other leagues OT is because teams never keep all the same guys. Every team usually loses a lot of players every year due to the fact that this league is made up of mostly college players, so when they graduate they are more focused on their newly acquired career.

| OT, i love how you say you're sick of talking about the skyline. Then you come in and give your opinion on who the top team is.... once again you are two faced.
Also, I'd be willing to bet that it was myself that said Moes is the next dynasty. And if you listen correctly, lets emphasize "next." You're right nothing has happened yet however it wasn't said that they are a dynasty now.
And I can attest to SmallCalves. Just this year alone I am aware of several college guys that finished school this year and will next year and have said that they are done for next summer. It is different in the Skyline in that aspect. Hard to find a good core of guys. Maybe call it a lack of dedication. Maybe call it not wanting to be the old loser who is still trying to live the dream.

| Now, my top 3 to bring it to state....
1. Stockmens - Overall they have depth in every spot.
2. Township - Yes they haven't played the top few teams yet but I still think they made some off season moves that brought them straight to the top. Pitching is a thought of liability. Who knows if they run in to some hot bats in the playoffs.
3. Stillwater - I think they'll limp in over a tight series in the playoffs unless they lose a couple more in the regular season and get a tough draw (stockmens, moes, township) come late july.

Stockman's is the best team in Skyline and I have a hard time believing they would be in the upper half of the St. Paul League.

I am two faced on here as that is part of my unique skill set on the beloved forum.
When I referred to Moe's being a dynsasty I beleive it was someone from Moe's who actually made that comment last year on here I could be mistaken.
As far as being old and living the dream that is what I am all about baby.......

| Splendid...even the best have a tough night once in awhile. Stockmen's played in their tourney over the weekend and then played the night before. They also play again tonight. Perhaps...just perhaps...Stockmen's had an off night. I think every team is worthy of having at least one mulligan over the course of the season, but that may just be me. Nothing against the Mudhen's as they certainly won the game. Of course 6 errors by Stockmen's might have had a little something to do with it... When all is said and done, the Stockmen's will be playing in August at the tourney.

However....since you did when I make my predictions they are for the end of the year which I am sure The Mudhens won't be a part of...you know the state tourney.
Good players, good teams and baseball guys who get it realize that scores/records/results don't mean scrapppppypoooo prior to the post season.
Splint let me guess you play for the Mudhens right? Solid win over Stockmen's I am sure they will remember that beating when they are playing in the state tournament.

| Although splinter uses a single game as his example his point is valid. If Stockmens is as good as advertised, they should be able to stomp the mudhens. Instead they received the stomping. Any team with state aspirations should be able to compete better than 14-1 even on an "off" night.

| Of course Stockmans will be there in August. They are in the Skyline!
East Side Merchants, North End, and Highland Park would all be in the mix in the Skyline. There should be a reshuffling of St. Paul and Skyline to ensure the best teams are playing in August.
The State Tournament will make all this obvious (again) in a month or so.

| Going with Splint's theory...the Stockmen's must now be placed in the #1 slot after blasting Woodbury 10-0 in 5 innings! Ha! Perhaps someone needs to explain to Splint why there is a "season" of baseball and why tournaments have a pool play. While I generally try to abstain...I have to call out Splints as the premiere "DONKEY" of the week!

| Applause to the Splendid Splinter!!! He razzed up the razzers!!! Just what they live for here. Also he gave them more fuel, a reason to live another week posting about things that they say don't matter, something to keep them up late at night (or at work). Maybe the whole season should be scrapped (since it doesn't really count). We should just have an All Class State tourney that last 3 months. If needed we could have 2 of them, one with real baseball rules and one with playground rules with the drafting of players.

| Hog's pitcher (#21) pitched a very nice game. Stockmen's hit some nice shots but the Hog's outfielders made some nice plays. Give it up for a nicely played game by the Hogs. Also, it wouldn't have hurt if the SSP Parks Department had actually taken the time to cut the grass after the holiday break! Had the wind been blowing you could have seen the grass actually waving in the breeze! It made for interesting baseball. Never-the-less a tip of the hat to the Hogs. Splendid, White Bear and Stockmen's play tomorrow night at the Township fields. Why don't you go check out the game and report back for us on the forum?! I'd like to get your personal thoughts about those two teams. Who knows, they might both be able to compete against your legion team! =:-P

Stillwater- 3 Moe's- 3 (game is going 18 innings and ending in a tie due to darkness)
There is some bad blood between these two teams..if someone gets beaned i wouldn't be surprised if there is a bench clearing brawl. So if we're going off who wins the brawl..i take Moe's with 9 knockouts and 2 decisions.
