| Wow, way to go out on a limb. You basically looked at the league standings and took the top 3 teams from each league and then threw in the 4th and 5th place teams as having a shot. Brilliant work Mr. Lunardi. My 3 year old niece could've done the same thing.

| i like the merch outsider pick in p-nash. they may not make it this year but they are really only a couple players away from being back in State like about 5-8 years ago... also, think the Cobras have a good shot at making it over Angels, but you never know in that 2-3 series as pitching depth is key.

| Lanky, What do you think of the Rocks as an outside chance. Looks like they are playing well losing a close one to pub and beating park.

| Yeah - i like the Rocks. I think they have had issues with player committment this year (some injuries, work schedules, families, etc..) However, they are a solid club and when they have all their hitters available they are very dangerous. I think their 2-3 series will definitely be a good one with either the Angels or Cobras. (not sure who they will play yet). Between Pub, Gators, Cobras, Angels, Rocks, Lakers (even Bombers when they hit) - the Park National playoffs should be interesting...

Rooster wins on landslide and brings the 1st trophy home to the Skyline.

| as for the rocks, they can hit the ball around the only question is can they field it consistently i think the rocks would agree they havent done that this year. but if they get hot can beat good teams

| The Rocks have no chance. Last year’s post season appearance, which was the first in their 12 year existence, was a fluke. They have always been poorly managed and I give them only a 50/50 chance to make it out of single elimination and a zero percent chance of making it out of the best of three to go to state. Good group of guys they just don't have what it takes at all to compete with the best. Not a contender what so ever!

| Last three cobras wins....Pub, Angels, Gators all in a row. They are a very dangerous team cuz they have a line up that produces runs. I see them making it to state.

| I agree. The Cobras have a legit team. Mike Davis is a masher. Gators and Pub will be tough too. It will be interesting to see who comes out of the P-Nash/Riverview Bracket. Tonka and Park are extremely tough.

| yeah - funny, i heard he actually played a game for Hopkins earlier this year. Good thing the MBA doesnt care about us Class A ballplayers and our Leagues. Regardless, it doesnt matter me, we just have to go out and beat them no matter who is on their team. I have to say going to a MBA meeting and listening to an Arbitration meeting where they act like players get paid, where teams and players get suspended for seasons is a total waste of time for everyone involved!

| That is hilarious Lank! However I agree and state that in my opinion players should be able to play where ever they want....WHO CARES!
With that being said I found out this summer what the big hang ups are that Class B has in terms of not wanting a combined A/B tourney.
1) They don't need A and like their tourney the way it is.
2) With A games in the tourney their sites would loose big money due to low attendance in some games.
One can't argue that because lets say in a year like this year where the B tourney is in Big Island and Wilmar....A can't even get 250 people to a championship game at Midway. How many do any of us think would be out that far to watch some second round game between two A teams?
To my suprise the money is BIG TIME....the further a team goes the more money they are given from the net of the tourney and those amounts are actually pretty damn high! High enough for a first or second place team to fund an A club for several seasons!!!!
3) B does not at all like the fact that A basically has no boundaries and their rules are not the same. Which is comical to me beacause B teams making the tourney get to draft three pitchers and or catchers.
As far as number three goes when I was speaking to some gentlemen about it I said, A would not draft if there was a combined tourney.
Secondly with B still drafting the pitching staffs of those teams espeically in a three weekend tourney would be far better 1-4 then any A team so why in the hell do they care about boundaries any way.
The only way it would ever possibly happen is if A agreed to not draft players and also agreed that they do not get any money from the net coin made in the tourney.....that would be the only way it would ever happen and I say that is a 1% chance.
Long story short a combined tourney will not ever happen!!!!

| Also B can talk about bondaries all they want but lets get real.....Miesville is the best example I can give. They are a good team and follow the rules per Class B, (25 miles as the crow flies)
How many A teams have players that live 20-25 away from wherever their sponser or city is located? HARDLY ANY PLAYERS IN A ARE THAT FAR AWAY FROM THEIR CLUBS.
Then again how would many B teams or any city for that matter other then Minneapolis and SP field a team much less a competitive team if they could not go out some and get their players from other cities.
Lastly Class B and C teams have history that dates back decades and in many instances even into the late 1800's......they are stuck in their ways and nothing is ever going to change that.
TOO BAD BECAUSE I THINK IF MARKETED RIGHT A COMBINED A,B,C TOURNEY WOULD BE THE COOLEST THING EVER IN TERMS OF BASEBALL IN THIS STATE!

| If marketed right? This is amateur baseball not the Twins. I'm sure a lot of marketing dollars are going to be spent hyping up that tournament. Isn't there a slow pitch softball forum or class B forum that you can waste your time on?

| Hey "three strikes and your out right turn kid" as far as my comment re: "marketing" of things let me fill you in.
The braintrusts of Class A have always struggled to generate enough revenue to even barely host the A tourney.
That is why it is set up different nearly every year. The "marketing" portion and or suggestion of my comment related directly to if A board would simply put schedules of the tourney games in the paper that would increase interest but they rarely ever even do that.....
.....yet the gripe has always been there that there is not enough money to barely have the A tourney.
There also is not nearly enough volunteer help to run it either.
Everyone should be thankful to Sean Vallek for all the hard work and dedication he has put in for if it was not for him the A tourney would have been done years ago.
Get informed get a clue or cease and desist!

| Sure are getting worked up arent you OT? My post did not mention anything about the work that people do for Class A baseball. Sean V has been excellent and I agree that w/o him, the tournament would probably not be around. There is a reason why Class A does not get a ton of fans and it is because (this might be a shock to you), its amateur baseball. The smaller towns of class B and C will obviously draw better crowds merely because of the lack of other things to do in those towns. No amount of marketing will lead to huge crowds in Class A ball. To your point about posting the brackets to draw more crowds... Do you honestly think that posting a bracket that says, for example, "Shakopee vs Sport n Spine" is really going to get substantially more fans there?

| Why does everyone always think I get worked up?
You can't read tone into written words and for the record this forum never gets me "razzed up" "worked up" or any derivatives of the sort.
Peaaace out!
