| If we want to talk about the State Tournament, then lets focus on the upcoming games. Give your guess at winner and score.
Tonka vs. Shamrocks Lyons Pub vs. Air Freight Cobras vs. Stockmen's
I am not sure how things will go down. I could see the first and second game going either way. I do believe that Cobras will beat Stockmen though. Anyone else?

| Shamrocks 6-5 Air Freight 3-2 Cobra's 8-2
Air Freight beats Cobra's Air Freight then beats Tonka in come from behind fashion after half AF team shows up in the 5th inning after waking up late from a double header and eating their post game feast.
The seldom playing and fresh Shamrocks win the title, by stealing 10 bases including home twice and 6 infield hits including the game winner. Seriously, I think the brackets are screwy, but that topic has been beat to death. But good luck to ALL the teams, I hope each plays it's best game(s) and can say they left it all on the field. Hopefully there will be good attendance and a good showing of the talent we have in the amateur leagues around here.

| Going by memory here....
Cobras 10, Stockmen's Irish 6 Air Freight 8, Lyon's Pub 2 Cobras 10, Air Freight 4
Some exciting baseball today! Didn't catch the first two games, but the nightcap had its moments. The Cobras' snake charmer had hitters mystefied with his knuckleball, as the Cobras built a 9-1 lead through 6 innings. The big blow came with 2 outs in the 4th, as Davis delivered on an 0-2 pitch with a bases-clearing double to RF. Broke the game open.
Air Freight made a late charge, and loaded the bases in the 9th for the top of their order. The game ended on a deep drive to left. The Cobra LFer went up and pulled back a would-be grand slam to end the game. It was an incredible play, and I wish I could remember the player's name, because he deserves some recognition for that catch the ball had already cleared the fence when he reeled it in.
So, the bottom line is... there was some exciting baseball today! And more tomorrow! So come out to the games on Sunday bring your family and sit back and enjoy the best teams in Class A do battle.

| Art, my recap was for the Cobras-Freight game. Sounds like the noon game between Cobras and Stockmen's was tight until late.

| Minnetonka is the 2010 Class A State Champion.
Don't quote me but I heard the score was 5-4. Not sure how good a game it was, I was not there but heard it was 4-1 Tonka in the 8th(???).
It sounded close early with Tonka building a lead but the Shamrocks threatening the first few innings and got nothing, then had a chance late.
Unbiased comments from someone there is always appreciated. I'm a Westside guy but was being fed info from an Eastside guy.
Pretty good balance I'd say the last several years. For the most part it's been two east and two west the last few years as far as I can remember, with an east/west championship game at least the last 3-years.

| That dude from the Metro Sox or whatever was right though. The officials weren't that great.
Good Tourney, congrats to Minnetonka again, and to all the teams that competed (and to the couple that just showed up and took a beatdown).

| I'm just correct all the time. The umps weren't satisfactory, Tonka was the correct champ, and pimping a 355 ft hr at dunning makes you a bitch. Pub agrees.
