First, the web colors are awesome. Congratulations to CM on their 2010 Championship....their first since 2005. Great players...but more importantly....a great great team. I didnt know this about them.....that they were a very tight team. I shared a few beers and a couple of Jen Knights victory brownies with them last night. Tip of the cap to all the league memebers that came to watch as well. It was a great time..won or lose. We had them! 17-11. But they battled back like champions do for an exciting 19-17 Game 1 victory Then, Tommy Dogs of War Sevigny hits a walk off single to take game two 5-4. FIVE/FOUR.!! Are you kidding me? Then...they just stomped us game 3. Ernie Wright and Chris Knight did what big time players do and smashed. Goodwin and Lags set the table and Jimmy George raked and Neil hit lasers and old war horse and coventrys greatest all time hitter Randy Fiske was maybe 8-10. He just always rakes. Kevin Dolan came out of the bull pen and shut us down...really, I am very happy for Kevin..I give my MVP to him. CM played almost flawless defense the entire day. Deware and Lags can shag with the best of them...everyone knows eddie mac is a great SS and Goodwin catches everything. But that big gorilla in RCF...wtf....just a super athlete...and before I forget....Chris Moulton runs a great program and if we arent careful this just might be the first of three in a row. agreed. not only fans related to players on the teams, but it was the highest amount of league members i have seen at a championship.
thanks to everyone who showed yesterday. thanks to the managers and stat senders who kept things in order throughout the year. thanks to all of our sponsors.
also, thanks to Josh Dionne who did a lot of work for me behind the scenes. and thanks to kevin dolan who does a great job with league check book.
and congrats again to the Moulton team and specifically their first time championship winners. when i was putting up the picture last night i realized how many guys were winning their first after many years in the league. so congrats again to them.
also congrats to rochs winning the "b" bracket which i think went well this year and added some excitement to the league.
finally, i apologize for there being only one umpire at the b bracket game. rick sousa also apologized, the other scheduled umpire did not contact him at all and couldn't be reached - he just no-showed.

Look, it was a hot day. It was a salty contest. And, its embarrassing enuf that i could barely dent a flimsy aluminum table with my best ninja kick and could only throw a 5 lb camping chair about 4 feet into the woods. It takes a lot of mood altering PEDs to get me out on the field with these young guys....and sometimes the chemical combo gets the best of me. Thanks to Dr Brian Stevens for a sideline reality check. I was mad because we lost a game that we had a good chance to win. And because the Beast hit two bombs off of me. Pitching apparently is too stressful for me....it was a good run....I announce my retirement . Officially. Swear. Over. Starting BSPN. With RYNO and Stevens as anchormen and Katiebear and Mindybear as sideline babe reporters.

On another note Mike Cote and I, walked for the Jimmy Fund yesterday and we, along with our other 3 team members all completed the 26.2 mile trek, I would like to thank Mike because we were hurting pretty bad, blisters, me for the last 18 miles and him for the last 10 miles but neither one of us would quit on the other. retire in peace arty? hahahahahaha i think the only people who will be at peace knowing they will never have to see you on a softball field ever again is everybody, the world will be at peace. i can think of at least 100 people off the top of my head that by you retiring have suddenly been inspired to play softball. i have already seen signs on all the coventry fields reading, NO DOGS OR ARTY ALLOWED ON FIELD. i can only imagine the rest of the fields in new england will follow suit. i just dont understand how you plan on pursuing your golf carreer seeing as you cant cheat, only yourself, you wont have sponsors and fund raisers to pay for your golf, and most of all, i dont think you will be able to shave your driver, so, you will actually have to pay for golf and play it legit, that being said, no fucking way you will play golf for more than a month, till you run outa money, maybe you should take up fishing or something.

LB4LB, eventhough I've been playing in the league for 25 years I only have 3. I know Kevin Dolan has 4. But it goes to show you, it's not easy to win titles in this league. I know back in the day, the "Mike Bradshaw Era PNA" was always the team to beat, they must of racked up a bunch.
