| Red... think I had 5 wrong last week but I did pick the entire OAA. Your picks appear to be on the money for this week. One that sticks out to me as a possible upset is that Oak Park vs Southfield match up.
Boon... haha too funny, I love it.
Man, I sure wouldn't want to be Southfield Lathrup Friday night. Adams won't be very happy campers.
Farmington may be the real deal but don't expect Oxford to lay down for anybody. This may be another close game for the Falcons.
Do you think Pontiac will hit Lake Orion with enough to keep them in the ball game?
North Farmington will be the best run defense that Hazel Park's Dakota Ogles has seen so far... maybe they keep him under 200?
What's up at Lahser? I've picked them twice this season and they've let me down. They'll have to find a way to stop Seaholm and all purpose stand out Shawn Conway to have a chance.
Same story, what's up at Stoney Creek? I expect Farmington Harrison will be just too much for them this week.
Is Avondale is the best 0-2 team is the OAA? Andover will have their hands full with that passing attack... could get ugly.
Groves better find their offense because Berkley's will be there front and center.
Southfield isn't afraid to go to the air and should be able to get back on track against upset minded Oak Park.
Troy Athens and Clarkston could prove to be a dandy... IF the Red Hawks don't get flustered early they should be OK.
Rochester better buckle 'em up because Troy's defense is looking strong.
I saw UD Jesuit last week at Country Day and they looked very good. The Cubs have too much offense for Ferndale.
And speaking of offense, I don't think Royal Oak will muster enough to top West Bloomfield in the battle of the 0-2's.

| Oxford learned against Lake Orion not to get too conservative and predictable with there offense they opened up against Lathrup. I see the Wildcats maybe keeping this game closer than I predicted ….but their defense will be tested. Falcons have speeds and many weapons. The QB is a multiple threat. This will be another big test for the Wildcats do they get rolled or gain a measure of respect …we’ll see!
The Lake Orion vs Pontiac will be a physical game and hard hitting . Phoenix success depends on their defense. They will face one of the best teams in the state. Lake Orion will hurt you on the ground and in the air. If Pontiac can punish LO’s running backs and effectively blitz Charette they may keep this game close.
This kid Ogles is super human has to come back down to earth sometime….RIGHT???? My bet is he still goes over 100+yds against the Raiders!
Blue division has given the Maples a new life ….they believe and they have an offense!
You know Scouts I agree with you this game maybe an upset….If the Southfield weaknesses are exploited by the Knights they could pull the upset!?! I think this is a big test with a lot on the line for both teams. Southfield can reignite their season while Oak Park can become a contender for the title. Both teams to play hard in this one! I think Clarkston will open up their offense a bit more …they have a running game they need more time for their offense to jell. If they can start hitting their receivers they would be a much better team. They should handle the Red Hawks though!
Troy’s surprising defeat of Romeo has opened everyone’s eyes. Their defense is unrelenting and the offense is surprisingly good….the Falcons will be lucky to keep this one close!
Oh and OAA RED nice job!….how about some commentary on games thru out the OAA….You are good at breaking down games.

| Clarkston @ Athens should be a great defensive battle. I'll take Clarkston because I think Clarkston's defense will be able to shut down Duzey more than Athens defense will be able to shut down Clarkston's running game. Should be a great atmosphere at Athens tonight, I was always impressed by how good their student section was for having such a mediocre program. Loser is in huge trouble playoffwise.
As for LO/Pontiac, after years of following LO football I can usually predict pretty well how they're going to do. Only game I think I ever really dropped the ball on was the LO/Clarkston regular season game last year.
This year I really think LO has a great shot at getting all the way to Ford Field again (of course, the year after I graduate and move away for college). For one thing I think that all of the teams they usually play in the playoffs seem pretty down this year. But LO itself just has great athletes on offense this year. If the D can just give a competent effort every game, then they can win with the strength of the O. I think Pontiac will make the playoffs again this year, but I don't think they have the depth to match up with LO tonight. They'll probably keep it close for a little while but I see LO eventually wearing them down.
May have some more thoughts later...
