| How is it exactly determined what teams play? Is it top white vs top red, 2nd white vs 2nd red....so on. If not how is it determined? If so, what if 2 teams have the same record and they haven't played each other, what is the tie breaker to determine who is considered #1 for the crossover game

| Scouts ... Plato is looking for the tie breaker process in the OAA. It is very likely that the Hawks and Falcons will be tied for 1st place going into the x over games between the Red and White divisions. So how will they determine who is the 1st place team in the white?
For example.....
Their would be a tie breaker coin toss at Buffalo Wild Wings in Farmington! The Hawks select heads and the Falcons get tails. The coin is tossed in the air by Scouts and comes up heads. The Hawks win the toss! Herrington says to Bechtel my Hawks are clearly in 2ND PLACE and your Falcons are in 1st place....you get to play Lake Orion. Boon consoles Bechtel who is now experiencing panic attacks by buying hot wings for everyone.

I think they go to head to head competition then points for/against differential followed by alphabetical.

| Thx Scouts...for clarifying! Much Appreciated!
Good point 200221....but everyone who has seen Lk Orion play ... say they are very good both offensively and defensively! Line was a big concern but they seemed to have replaced well. Based on numerous sources and a gut feeling...I think they are good .....in fact very good! I give the edge the Dragons in the x over game but certainly not saying the white does not have a chance ....they do and I hope they(the White div) win !!!

| Who ever Lake O meets Harrison or Farmington. They have not played a team with as many weapons, or speed. Or will they have been tested in a rough game. They have not faced a team with a passing and running game that has strong D's. Everyone will be surprised. There last 2 games of the year will show if there as good as everyone says. If they win those 2, then I too will say there great.

| I've yet to see LO or Farmington (this week) but have watched Harrison 3 times. They have 4 good WR's, the qb is nice and the D is fast, but i don't find their running very impressive.
LO, Adams and Farmington would all stuff their run game and put pressure on the QB. Their D is good but it looks like you can wear them down as the game goes because of their size and two way players.

| I have seen Farmington 2 times and they have a strong running game and passing. That's how they beat Adams. And they have a hard hitting fast D. There are lots of strong teams in the OAA. But Farmington might be the most balanced.

| These are going to be very interesting games. From what I have seen. Lake Orion, at this point in time, appears to be the team to beat. I have yet to see Harrison myself, and will reserve judgement until I do. I feel like they are the class of the White, and Farmington is right there with them. Hard to say any of these three would beat the other for sure. I like the concept of the games, and hope they turn out some excellent games on the field.

| If crossover week were this weekend it would look like...
Lake Orion at Farmington Harrison Clarkston at Farmington Troy at Southfield Pontiac at Rochester Adams Rochester at Oak Park West Bloomfield at Oxford Troy Athens at Southfield Lathrup Royal Oak at Rochester Stoney Creek
I'd say 5-3 White, possibly 6-2.

| Scouts...i may need some help with this...but i have heard the some of the following.
I have been informed that, due to rivalry games being taken away due to divisional realignment, that week 8 will not 'strictly' be a 1 vs. 1 type of scenario. I have been told that rivalries will be taken into consideration (ie. Rochester will either vs. Adams or Stoney or Adams will either face Rochester or Lake Orion).
Any insight??

| I hope not, it would kind of take away the point of the crossover games IMO. Plus I'd love to have another LO/Harrison game...I was only in 5th thru 9th grades for the 5 years they played but those games were sweet. LO/Farmington would be something new which is always fun. And if by any chance LO/Adams happened again, that would also be cool. I can see pros to all 3 games...

| Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your thoughts on this, the source was very solid. An AD for one of the Rochester schools. The Rochester schools fought hard to keep their rivalry alive and this 'week 8' agreement seemed to work for all parties.
Honestly though, this season, I can see Adams playing Rochester HS and Lake Orion playing Harrison/Farmington and it still making sense to everyone.

| Scouts, Nice projection for the x over games and BTW they are reasonable. Im glad you took this on ...I am waiting until after week 5 to make any projections.Im feeling more and more that the Adams Harrison game will be a good close game..couple weeks ago I would have said Harrison all the way. If your projections are correct there will be some great games to watch including a true home town city brawl between Adams and Rochester High. Im thinking it can still swing either way for Adams n Harrison ...Pontiac n Rochester. Don't want to leave the Blue out as they have their own battle going on for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (Hazel Park, Berkley, and Seaholm). May the best teams REPRESENT!

| The official 2010 OAA week 8 crossover tie-breaking rule is based in the following order:
1. OAA league record 2. Head to head result 3. Overall record 4. MHSAA Playoff Point average 5. Enrollment
Rochester will play Rochester Adams in week 8 unless Rochester loses AND Rochester Stoney Creek wins this Friday (10/8)
No teams that played in week 1 will play in week 8

| Assuming that the Farmington/Farmington Harrison tie breaker comes down to playoff points. I would think a win over Adams would garner more playoff points than a Farmingtom win over Stoney thus vaulting Harrison into the 1 seed in the white...whatya think ??
If you have not noticed. I really want to see Lake Orion go up against Harrison. Not too slight Farmington, just think playing Harrison would give us a better idea on how good LO really is.
