| Lake Orion 56 West Bloomfield 14
Stevenson 120 yds rushing, 4 TD's and a 90 yd kickoff return for a TD (was called back for penalty though)....... oh yeah all that was at the beginning of the second quarter. This game was never in doubt. 49-14 at half, all backups and running clock the entire 2nd half.

| Lake Orion is for real this year, they could win states and I would not be surprised. Right now the only teams in D1 that I would pick over them are CC & Canton, and those two will probably meet in the playoffs before one of them would face Lake Orion. Rockford is also good but they keep having really close games. Dakota I also feel just had an off week against Romeo. If I was Lake Orion I'd be far more worried about facing Dakota in the playoffs than Romeo.
But I'm getting ahead of myself...still 5 more regular season games for the Dragons.

That Lk Orion x over game will be a good one! May be one of the better GAMES of the year!!!
I hope CC and Canton play each other before either 1 of them play the Dragons. A lot of people talk up Canton and CC and NOT Lk Orion ... they will be in for a SUPRISE (Me Thinks).
OAA elite teams flying under the radar (IMHO) right now ...and that is all right!

| There's no question that LO is one of the top 5 teams in the state and has an excellent chance of making a trip to Ford Field this year.
They have one of the best and well balanced offense's in the state, and seemingly can score at will.
I want to say that this is one of the best defenses that I've seen at LO in awhile....but they do have weaknesses that will need to be addressed before playoff time. The defense has been outstanding against the run, but somewhat inconsistent against the pass. There smallish corners have been getting beat frequently, and a team with a good QB and passing attack will take advantage of that. West Bloomfield had big strong wideouts and went 80 yards two possessions in a row mainly attacking the two corners.
I realize that this is high school football not college and no team is going to be without weaknesses. I still think LO goes deep into the playoffs, just merely expressing what I feel they need to address before I can pencil them in for a trip to Ford Field. Perhaps Bell and Tooley will think about converting one of the 18 wideouts they have on their roster to a cover corner. Ha
...and with the offense they have, maybe it doesn't even matter how their defense performs against the pass. They could probably rely on outscoring everybody they played if they needed too.

| I think people are jumping the gun when it comes to LO. Ask yourself, who have they played? I saw a scrimage against Howell and they were in my mind beaten soundly. Lets wait till the last 2 games of the year before they are crowned GREAT! It is much to early in the year.

| There are only two teams in the top 5 who have beaten quility teams Adams and Farmington and then I would say Seaholm with there showing against Country Day is a harder road to tow than who LO has played.

| They can only play the schedule thats before them, and so far they have been dominate. When your that much better than your opponents thats going to happen. It's pretty clear to me that Orion is going to be the best team coming out of OAA. Unless they slip up somewhere, which they rarely do, the cross-over game, Troy, and the Clarkston game will all be played in Dragon country. Away games to Royal Oak, and Athens. As long as they finsih unbeaten. From week 7 - 3rd playoff game will all be played at LO. Huge advantage for the Dragons. This is a awesome team, that could be great.....there hows that?

| Rochester 17 Pontiac 7
Not sure if it was a defensive battle, or the offenses struggled, but there wasn't much pretty about this one. Close game through three quarters, 7-7 to start the 4th. Rochester caught Pontiac sleeping on a fake punt and took over deep in Pontiac territory. Pontiac held them to three 10-7. On the ensuing Pontiac possession they were not able to move the ball at all. Rochester gets a long run late in the game by Cody Devoe to set up a 1 yd RD run to seal it. Rochester 3-1 and looking like a possible playoff team. Nice game by RB Cody Devoe. Alot of tough yards right up the gut.

| Do I see a possible Adams vs Rochester match up for the x over game! That would be a nice rivalry game and perhaps city championship game all in one. NICE!!!!!!!
Southfield gets beat by Stoney Creek...big win for the cougars but an even BIGGER LOSS for the Jays!
Clarkston beats Troy well the Red is starting to clear up!Looks like Lk Orion, Clarkston, and Rochester 1 , 2 , 3.
Seaholm close loss to Det. Country Day was a GOOD loss. Seaholm still gains respect and will continue their title chase in the Blue.

How would Lk Orion do against:
Canton?
CC?
In your opinion!
Im thinking they could beat both do to their balance...and they have been to the state championship recently ..no substitute for that kind of experience.

| The foundation was there for Rochester. They returned 9 on offense and 8 on defense with many of this group being together through multiple sports.
With that being said, they still have a long way to go.

I think the Falcons are for real (compared to the last 10 years). Their current Juniors had awesome Freshman and JV teams.

| Being a Rochester Alum, i have mixed feelings right now. Obviously the team is showing great signs of talent and progress. But at the same, time, i have this deep feeling in my gut that is saying "This is still Rochester." In 2007 they were 4-2 at one point only to finish the season 4-5. I am very proud of these boys, but they have accomplished nothing yet.

| Are they world beater yet? Of course not. But accomplish nothing? I think they were underdogs against Pontiac and Troy yet won both.
Lake Orion smacked 'em good but the Falcons had turnover issues too. Not saying they would have won without the turnovers but it would have been more entertaining.
At this age, attitude means alot and I think this group is used to winning - a rare occurance for Falcons!

| I haven't seen CC or Canton yet in person. I do believe Orion can play with anyone, and would have very competitive games against either of these schools. If and when I see CC or Canton I will give you more of an opinion.
As for Rochester, I for one did not see them beating both Troy and Pontiac. They are playing a solid brand of football, and YES they are capable of beating Clarkston.

| Rochester beating Troy and Pontiac was somewhat unexpected. But lets see how they do on the road the next two weeks at Athens and Clarkston. That will be a true test. Lose this week at Athens and making playoffs will be tough.

| lake orion to win states?? They have yet to go against a good team. A team that is a contendor in the oaa. They only teams I'm really impressed with Farmington. They will win oaa. Farmington has showed they have defense and they beat adams. They have stopped the run against every team this year so far. Espicially against adams. Lets hear more love for farmington! )

| Farmington has played teams with a combined record of 5-11, while LO has played teams with a combined record of 7-10. Obviously they goth not really playing the cream of the crop, but LO seems to have the upper hand on that aspect. The only true threat LO has left on their schedule is Clarkston, and maybe their cross over game. Farmington still has harrison and THEIR cross over game. Will these powerhouses meet undefeated?

| As an unbaised football fan:
ecd05: I haven't seen anyone say Lake Orion is going to win states. They are a legit contender, that's for sure. I'm sorry if you think Pontiac isnt very good, I think they are good, not great, and Orion smacked them right in the mouth over and over.
In my opinion, Farmington is the 2nd best OAA team I have seen in person, behind Lake Orion. I will give them all the love they are going to deserve once the playoffs near.
Bossman: From what I have seen, Lake Orion is much better than Clarkston this year. This is ALWAYS and outstanding rivalry game though, and usually a close one.
OAAScouts: Agree. Orion over Farmington by 10+

| Quite frankly I do not know who the better team is between Lake Orion and Farmington. I do know they both are very good teams this year. That being said we still have a 2nd half of the season to play. As Guido the enforcer would say "tings happen" in high school football. There still may be a few upsets and shockers to happen in the OAA. If all goes as expected Farmington will meet Lk Orion in the x over game contingent upon Adams beating Harrison! What a game that will be the Dragons and the Falcons duel it out for all the marbles!

| Thanks to oaascouts for the info. I love the work you do on this website. Dont get me wrong guys I do believe lake orion is a great team. I'm just not on the bandwagon yet with lake orion till I see more games being played. I just believe Farmington has alot of depth and has shown that they can pass and run really well. I guess we still have alot of time yet till we assess what teams are really that good...but let me tell you lake orion and farmington will be exciting! That could determine everything!
