It doesn't look like week 9 could have shaped up any better. LO-Clarkston playing each other for the winner of the Red. FHH-FHS playing each other for the winner of the white. Rochester and Ferndale both looking for the all important 6th win, while Troy, Pointiac and Southfield look for a winning season, and a POSSIBLE chance at the playoffs. So many big games, so little time!!

Here goes......

The Lake Orion vs Clarkston game is a lot more interesting NOW! Both teams have an out of conference loss. Lake Orion shows they are beatable. Lake Orion brings a prolific offense while Clarkston brings a bruising defense. I think this game will be close with a slight advantage to the Dragons. The Wolves are improved and can win this!

The Harrison n Farmington game is a mis-match. Yes this is a game of arch rivals and bragging rights for Farmington area. Should be a toss up game BUT the Hawks are now the BEASTS of the OAA and a favorite for Div 2 state champs. They will handle Farmington ,I predict, will not be close.

Adams plays their best game of their season against a good Rochester team. The Highlander aggressive, mixed attack was impressive not to mention good D! I feel the Rochester Falcons are a good team and proved it this season! They have some good athletes on that team!

Wow! Hazel Park will win the Blue but evenly matched with Berkley. Hope both teams do well in the play offs but it will be tough in Div 2 this year in their region.

Again a number of very good teams in the OAA quite capable to make some noise in the play offs and perhaps even go all the way to Ford Field...Got my fingers crossed. GO OAA!

With just over 1,000 students. Hazel Park will be in division 3 playoffs. Although that wont be a cakewalk either, especially if they see Crockett early.

@boonazz your comment about harrison against farmington is the most incorrect statement I heard all year. What facts are you claiming that farmington will lose by a lot? Harrison beat lake orion so what! Lake orion had yet to go against a contendor all year and when they met harrison they realized there not as good as they thought. If you've seen farmington play this year you would see that both teams compare equally in all phases of the ball. We lost to clarkston by a point and played superb defense and will do so against farmington harrison. It will be a close game with fhs winning not losing by a lot give me a break.

Farmington will matchup better with Harrison than LO or Adams. Harrison is a better team this year than the last 2 years. They were favored by 12 2 years ago and Farmington won. They were favored by 6 last year and 5-0 and lost to Farmington it will be closer than Harrisons last 2 games against LO and Adams.

I think you r taking things too personally!? I expressed an opinion ...that is all it is! I have seen both FH Harrison and Farmington play. I like both teams and have said this all season long. That being said I feel Harrison will beat Farmington and win by 2 tds or more! Just my opinion! If you have one bring it instead of being in attack mode and so defensive. So take a deep breath and let me know why you feel differently.

Farmington will lose to Harrison by at least 14 points.

Clarkston's offense is beat up with injuries on the line and at receiver and were kept out last week.

Players were left out of RO and Farmington game and possibly will be out for LO to get healthy for playoffs.

There were 14 players out of uniform for the Farmington game.

Then how did Clarkston lose to Adams in week one? Did they have injuries then also? Clarkston played a strong game and so did Farmiington. It was a great game to see.

Actually they did. If you remember Baenziger (starting QB then) went out of the game with a hip injury and has not returned this season. They were not throwing down field because he was recovering from a severely sore arm and Demattia had the same issue with a sore arm.

Actually, you played Adams the next week and won. I believe, Adams would beat Farmington if they played later in the season with more film and take out #11 (still impressed with this guy) like Clarkston did with double teams.

Farmington is the Grand Blanc of 2010. Beat up everyone but teams with winning records. They got Adams at the perfect time in a QB transition. Farmington will be one playoff game and out.

I think adams losing to farmington based on adams having a quarterback transition is a lame excuse. Farmington was up 21 to 10 in the 4th quarter with 4 minutes left. Quarterbacks. help deliver the plays but its the other players who still have to execute so to say its why they lost is kinda confsuing to me. I'm not heated up I'm just confused why farmington doesn't get recongnition but lake orion does and they went agasint bad teams all year as well.

Wilson had 9 rec. and 1 td punt return you didn't stop him you stop the running game. Adams could not stop Farmingtons running game. Not a good compare.

Farmington can't help who they play. At the beginning of the year this forum said with how tough the White will be this year Farmington will be lucky to go 3-6. They won beat Adams, they did, they won't beat WB, they did, won't beat Southfield they did, oh yea and Oxford will kill them, they didn't.They will lose to Harrison we will see. And watch out for Lautrup they will be strong, they were not. And don't forget Oak Park. There was no way they would finish higher than 4th in the OAA White will they might finish 1st and worst case 2nd so there are some of you that need to make up your mind they are 7-1 they played and they beat the teams that were in your words to strong for them to go this far. Am I missing something.

Couldnt have said it any better 20012. I'm a realist so if people want to say farmington is lucky there 7-1 because they went against bad teams all year then I better see lake Orion's name as well falling in that category. Farmington is a much better program this year than in the past and will show come Harrison..enough said.

I had heard talk earlier in the season that both the Clarkston and Adams varsity programs would have "off" years as they didn't have the experience and/or caliber of players that normally do, however they appear to me that they're doing pretty well. As for Farmington, I don't recall all the predictions of them losing so many games in fact I recall most comments had them challenging or winning the OAA White. Regardless, their schedule of opponents has almost mirrored that of FHH, with the exception of West Blmf and LO, so it's difficult to give credit to FHH and not to FHS. I think this week will clear the air on a few topics - which team in the White is better, Harrison or Farmington, and when Clarkston & LO play, that should also provide some insight on the caliber of opponents each faced last week. My prediction is Harrison by at least 2 td's and LO by the same.

Adding to this discussion:
Heres the deal ...and Vince and Chief have hit on it .... on closer inspection Farmington has beat a rebuilding Adams team who was not supposed to win the white (21 - 16). The Falcons beat an underachieving Southfield by only 12 pts. The last big match the Falcons suffer a 1 pt loss to an injured, rebuilding Clarkston team that is no where near as good as last year. So now the Falcons will meet a truly elite team in the Hawks! We'll see what happens!? I have no axe to grind I am impartial a TRUE OAA Supporter- I call it the way I see it!

Thats fine that is your opinion and I respect that. Although, I just cant stand when people say well they only beat them by these many points or that many points. A win is a win. Even if its 1 point or 50 points who cares. Does winning by showing how many points you can score define a great team? No!! C,mon guys.. if an NFL team wins a superbowl by 1 point do you think they care how many points they win by? This is a joke hahaha honestly. Dont get me wrong I believe harrison is magnificient but I feel the same for farmington and I'm not going to be immature and base harrison or Farmington how good they are based how many points they scored its if they won or not. It should be judged that way.

and you cant help who's injured or not. Your a team that has to fight with or without certain players. If you lose you lose and it falls on the team. No excuses if there were injuries or not. Lame excuses guys..just lame. To not give credit for farmington being 7-1 and telling me that defining a good team is by how many points they score?!?...guys seriously you don't know football. I take a win over points. Fans who focus on points are losers.

Great Ecd and just so u know if Farmington goes deep in the playoffs I will be pulling for them as well as any other OAA team! We have a lot to be proud of this year as a conference. We have an opportunity this year to do very well in the playoffs ... and I expect we WILL!

The best part of being a football fan is makeing predictions. So what do base your predictions on? You need to analyze points scored, points against, injuries and most important coaching and schedule. I agree a win is a win. Bottom Line.

But when analyzing the next game you need ot consider..., was it an easy win and/or a struggle against a team that should be inferior or superior.

And then sometimes you make predictions on gut feeling.

Based on Farmington's recent history and Harrison' history, most people believe the Falcons are going to get spanked. It's not personal, it's a prediction.
