Boys remember what is important and as long as you leave it all out there you will never have any regrets! When someone hits you in the mouth, smile big and knock them out! Good Luck!

That's right, teach them to play dirty and represent the Rams with pride. First of all, who gets hit in the mouth at any game? I hope this wasnt't they play you played, if you are a former Ram. If it was, shame on you. Play with class and pride.

I'm pretty sure all he means is when someone knocks the crap outta ya, smile right back and knock the crap outta them. He wasnt trying to tell the players to PLAY DIRTY. No need to sit and cry at everyone that posts on this forum.

Trust me, I don't sit and cry about everyone who posts on this forum. Check my posts and let me know. You don't know what he meant. The bottom line is, if one of our players happens to read this, what's the gonna think. I'm the one talking about playing with class and representing the Rams with pride.

I understand completely what he meant. Comments like this have no positive meaning and says alot about this fan. There is no reason to even make comments about this. Play with pride and win with honor. We're better than this.

Coach B and the rest of the staff demand our players play clean football. Alum 22 knows this as well. I know who is is and he is a stand up guy. He was in no way telling them to play dirty.

I think it is understood and I believe even the players understand this is an expression... a figure of speech. If the other team strikes first... hits you hard... scores first... stops your drive... prevents you from doing what you want, you fight back... not literally.

Show you are tougher than the other guy.

Hey there Gorams!!!

Thanks for getting my back boys! Obviously Dutchmen doesn't get the expression. They apparently don't say things like that on the debate team... Which he was probably terrible at! LOL! I just meant to play hard and don't back down!

No, I wasn't on the debate team, but I do have a college degree, which is probably more than you have. I know exactly what the expression means. However, too many times players let their emotions get out of hand and things happen. I'm just saying that this type of post isn't needed. There aren't many players that don't know what to do when the opponent makes a hit on them.

Moving right along - I liked the "Big guys" offensive formation we used in the 4th qtr against Mitchell. With the unbalanced line and Garrett Sanders as a tight end, we were able to get significant gains with Andry up the middle and Sheperd off tackle. Those inside power runs opened up the outside for Wilson to get loose for long runs. We didn't try to pass out of that set, but there would be a number of pass routes they could use. Sanders makes a good tight end, he has good hands. I hope we see more of this especially against teams with big, aggressive defensive fronts, as they tend to cause our base offense problems.

I'm not sure what the factor was, but things certainly changed when we changed our offensive scheme. I'm not sure if Mitchell was confused (because I only remember seeing that formation against Eastern Greene when we were within 10 yards of the goal line), or if the extra "muscle" opened some holes. I certainly can see the benefit of "mixing it up" from time to time.

I certainly would not want to be pancaked by Gill and Sanders.

It would be nice for The Rams to use different formations or different sets of plays in the game to at least get the passing game on track...but then again I look for ol' Knute Rockne to run his 4 Horsemen until the Horses Wagons break down...I was hopin that these Rams would have some of the "Greatest Show On Turf" St. Louis Rams of the early 2000s but that's too much of a passing game to put into a Rams playbook...

but if all that fails Auburn is using the Shotgun Veer this season..maybe ditch the regular Veer Offense and go with a new style Veer Offense...

Shizz-
It's a little too late to be changing our offense. After the Lawrenceburg game, our season will be over when we meet Brownstown. Like I have said before, records can be deceiving. We had a good year, but did we accomplish our goals?
