Tommy Vento threw 3 TD passestwo to his brother Jake and the other to Garius Colemanto account for all the scring in Harrison's 21-0 OAA White Division-clinching win over Farmington tonight before a huge overflow crowd at Falcon Stadium. Vento now has 23 TD passes this season and Harrison is 9-0 (7-0 in the OAA White)for the first time since they won their last state title in 2001. Harrison became the first team to score more than 2 touchdowns against the Farmington defense this season, although the Falcons did hold the Hawks to a season-low in points. The Hawks defense was even better though than Farmington's though. The Falcons did not get a single snap inside the Harrison 20, and the Falcon offense, which had been averaging 39.6 points per game in the 5 games prior to last week's 7-6 home loss to Clarkston, has now failed to score a TD in back-to-back games. The Falcons finish the regular season 7-2 (6-1 in the OAA) after starting the season 7-0.

Harrison looks like the OAA's best chance to make it to Ford Field this year. They have playmakers on boths sides of the ball, and seem to be peaking at the right time. The one thing that is a little concerning is their run game, it has been somewhat inconsistent this season. Alot of young players on this team as well. Burbridge often looks like the best player on the field is only a Jr. Not positive on the Vento's. Is one a Jr. and the other a Sr. ?

Whatya think Mr. Craven ???

A few weeks ago I said that Farmington was the Grand Blanc of 2010. What that means is they played up the hype (mouthed off greatness) against inferior teams before they played real competition.

I also threw out the question: Is it possible that Farmington could lose its final 3 games?

Well, Farmington started by losing to Clarkston. Close game, but still lost.

I also said that Harrison would be shut out or not score until the 4th quarter. And, I was right, Farmington put up a goose egg against the Hawks. (Actually, it is like two shut outs in a row because Farmington's offense did not score against Clarkston.)

So, I am curious if some people will take off the rose colored glasses and be a little more objective. Let's see who Farmington will have to line up against in the first week of the playoffs.

Who said I didn't know football. Somebody better look in the mirror.

Tommy the QB is the Sr, Jake is a Jr. Harrison scored 1 TD in each of the first three quarters tonight. Tommy has a terrific, accurate arm and he has a lot of guys to throw to. Harrisons best RB might be this Fr they've been using a lot in the past 3 weeks named Lorenzo Collins.

Obviously, you guys had good predictions. Well done! Harrison played well. The coach for farmington high school is a joke when it came to the play calling today. I was real proud of the defense and how they played forcing turnovers. The offense of play calling was literally going to the middle freaking 40 times. We threw it maybe...4 times. I think coach bechtel is a joke. coach herrington is smart and this is why harrison will beat you everytime. I feel if the coach showed some balls we wouldnt have been blown out. Since you guys like to talk about points we lost by 21, lake orion on the other hand lost by 22. We have to play better. I solely dont believe its the players that made us 7-2 its our coach. I had big hopes for this program but....I have nothing else to say. Way to Go Hawks job well done

Rumors go out that if harrison and farmington win first round of playoffs they might meet up to play again...is this possible?

ECD it's not possible, it is a certainty. remember they met in the first week of the playoffs last year, and would probably meet in the district finals this year, as it would be a major shock if they did not end up in the same playoff district.
