Yeah, we lost last night. BUT, there were some positives to last nights opener. From what I could tell, the Rams are very well coached. Yes, only one game into the season and I'm sucking up to the coach. Without a doubt the kids played their hearts out. They played against an older, more experienced, team and came up just short. Coach Harrell was very hard on his kids last night and very demanding. That is a "great" thing! He hardly ever took a seat last night. He rode the players and the refs both like his life depended on it. That is the kind of coaching these young kids need. I was also extremely impressed with the intensity of the kids efforts on the floor. They gave everything they had, it just wasn't enough this early in the season. Give this group a few more games and they would handle Mitchell soundly. We can talk about what we don't have if you want and we can talk about what we need if you want, but let's be real. We know this year is a rebuilding year and I like what is being built. Not to say this team can't win games now because with their hearts in the right place (like I believe they are) and the athleticism this team has the Rams will surprise some teams. I saw the coach get on one of the boys last night hard and the kid sat there on the end of the bench visibly upset but at the same time you could tell he was just "chomping at the bit" waiting to get his chance to get back in the game and redeem himself. THAT got ME fired up! Yeah, we lost last night , but we're heading in the right direction.

I like the potential of this team and onto the future you look at the size xoming up through the next few years form the 8th grade and Freshmen teams and it's somethin Ram fans haven't seen in awhile...It was redfreshing to see a Motion Offense instead of some ridiculous "4 Corners" Offense of the past 4 or so years...like the instensity of the offense and defense there were some blown assignments but you expect that goin form a stand still type offense to a motion offense...you look at the schedule and I think there are some teams where The Rams may not win but will take them down to the wire for a win...alot of toss up games there...like I said to someone last night "We might lose a game like that this year in a few years a game like taht won't be close" everything is there for the re-awakening of the Rams Basketball Winning Tradition...be fun to watch and see what happens...

Well... I did say to be prepared to be surprised, as things will look different. I think the boys showed good potential for the future.

I think if Wroblewski can stay out of foul trouble this team already has 2 wins underneath their belt...the team is young but so far the people who are scoring are guys who will be back next year and the years to come...Key has turned into a slashing scorer...Burnette has started to get his scoring touch going...just need a few more pieces put together and The Rams could be on a hot streak...still anticipating what a few more years could bring...
