Its a better fit thats for sure. Better competion, closer games, just a better all around league. Might not have quite as much success but it will be alot of fun. Just a great league with alot of good teams.

I see your "league champs" weren't good enough alone to take on the VL north. Nice additions, how will that work out when they go back to brainerd next year. I feel bad for the poor guys you cut to make room for those waffling ex-braves. Hope you enjoy the smell of the VL north cellar.

When talent like that asks if they can play with u, ummm that was not a very diffcult decision on our part. We are glad to have the braves be part of our team, along with schumer, messner and haberman. The guys we cut did not play most of last season except for a freshman we let go.

I also see some of the top teams in the victory league added talent as well. Fort adding a very good logan kalis. Lastrup adding another good pitcher in pittman and lockner. Opole adding to good players from the ice in gustin and ebnet.

We hope we wont finish last in the division but thats why we play the games. Play Ball!

I see on your stat sheet that your team played the St. Mathias Saints. I thought they folded in 2004? How were these games possible?

So I guess all this North cellar talk was just that. The Lightning are here to stay along with those "waffling Braves." I'm willing to bet that the Lightning are even better next year.
