| We have our 2nd league meeting on Tuesday and i wanted to throw something out there for people to think about or discuss before the meeting.
The "Super League" concept that was roughly touched on in the spring league proposal package (<<<<<<< 20111 GCFFA SPRING LEAGUE DETAILS & FEATURES) consists of our Waterbury, CT division, the newly formed Long Island, NY division, and the existing Westchester, NY division......as well as a newly developing Rhode Island division. This would mean that between 40 and 60 teams can be playing 9-man together this year under the same rulebook in the same format and gives us the ability to play versus new and highly competitive talent year-round, ultimetly crowning League, State and Regional Champions, unifying the ultra-competitive northeast region
The question I have for the teams is whether or not we should have cross-over games during the season with these other divisions or wait until the end of the year and just allow the Champion and Runner-up from each division meet in the Northeast Championship Series as already planned.
We have the ability to get very creative and do something no-one else is doing or is capable of doing at this point. This may mean adding games to the season (from 10-12 or more) having a divisional schedule/standings and a non-divisional schedule/standings (this would preserve the balance and importance of winning your own division). We could have teams either travel to the other locations for double headers and those other division travel to us for the same or we have the ability to have cross-over games at nuetral sites halfway between divisions.
There is a lot that would need to be worked out, but it could grow into something very unique and unprecedented if done correctly.
Any and all feedback is encouraged and appreciated!

| Fair enough........All my energy is in Waterbury, but keep in mind when an opportunity presents itself you have to be prepared to act or it may pass you bye. We have quite a few very accomplished 9-man flag football persons involved in this as well as full MCFFU support and sanctioning and it has been brewing for months.
The goal is not to take over hartford but hopefully as the GCFFA reaches its goals and continues to grow on a state, regional and national level through our partnerships then the hartford league and its participants will consider working with us to provide the teams the very best experience they can have
I will have the full proposal together for the meeeting so teams can see exactly what we have in mind............if WE as a league dont feel it is best than we can go from there

| What if we have a few crossover weeks where our league goes down there or one of those leagues come down here and all of the teams matchup. Two at the beginning of the season as a warmup and the other two spaced out during the season. Just a thought
