The 2nd GCFFA League Meeting was held Tuesday night at the Silver City sports Bar and Grill in Meriden. There were 18 people in attendance and we discussed numerous topics from rosters and roster control to individual rule changes. Below are the notes from the meeting and the teams represented


In attendance:

Chris Severino.......... Commissioner
Charles, Brian and Andrew....Officials

Teams represented:

Chargers
Canes
Trojans
Steelers

Tig Ol Bitties

General Topics:

<> ROSTERS......minimum amount of games played to be playoff eligible, roster limits, postseason rosters, sign in sheets and monitoring of rosters

-The roster limit for the REGULAR SEASON will be 30 players.
-The roster limit for the PLAYOFFS will be 25 players (must be on the original 30 man roster)
-All rosters must be submitted with player name, jersey number and position NO LATER than March 3rd 2011
-Rosters will not lock until the completion of the 3rd week of the regular season. A player may choose to play for a different team up to this point but both teams involved must submit revised rosters at this poont
-A player must play a minimum of 3 REGULAR SEASON games in order to be eligible for the PLAYOFFS
-Each team and the League MUST have a league approved roster at the field at all times. If a team chooses to challenge a player on the field, they may bring their challenge to the officials who will use the league approved roster to verify the player is on the roster. Any ineligible players will be removed from the game and the team will forfeit the game if it is in progress. There is no forfeit to the team if the game has not yet begun
-The LEAGUE will be responcible for keeping an updated attendance sheet for each team in order to ensure players meet the 3 game minimum.
-Playoff rosters must be submitted by the Wednesday prior to the 1st Playoff game.

<>GAME TIME.....games will consist of (2) 32 minute halves with NFL stoppages inside the 2 minute warning of both halves

<>GAME SHEETS....the League has designed game sheets to track all vital information of each game. The team captains must initial there game sheets with the league at the completion of the game or they will not receive credit for the game played.

<>KICKOFFS.....in opposition to the MCFFU Rulebook, it was voted on to only kickoff at the start of each half. The main reason behind the rule change was the amount of time wasted on the kickoffs
