After 4 weeks the PLAYMAKERS and the KNIGHTS seem to be seperating themselves from the pack and the CHARGERS are making a late push to get into the top of the league. With 2 weeks remaining in the regular season, several teams are battling for playoff position. The SHARKS and UNKNOWNS will have to win out just to have a chance to make the playoffs.

6:00
Southington KNIGHTS 44
Bristol SHARKS 8

Apparently the Knights were not in the mood for another close game and it didnt look like the Sharks could do much to stop them. Knights QB John Esmail connected with 6 TD passes, 3 full field strikes to WR Rob Hernandez. Up 30-0 at one point the Knights began to argue when they gave up a first down. The Sharks played hard till the end and added a touchdown and 2 point conversion preventing the goose egg. The usually classy Knights decided to add 2 more scores at that point to complete the romp. Next weeks battle with the Playmakers should be the Game of The Year so far in the Indoor league.......

Player of the Game: Knights WR, Rob Hernendez (3 TD's receiving)

7:00
Naugatuck PLAYMAKERS 33
Southside RAIDERS 18

The Game of the Week fell short of its billing as the Playmakers dominated Southside on both sides of the ball. The defense for the Playmakers used steady pressure and a well executed zone to force 2 INT's and several 3 and outs. WR Pat Hussey was a force to be reckoned with, catching 11 passes, 4 for TD's and adding an interception for good measure. The Raiders battled back in the second half behind WR Terry Smith's 2 TD catches but never really threatened the Playmakers in this contest. Having passed their first true test, the Playmakers will have all they can handle next week vs fellow undefeated Southington Knights

Player of the Game: Palyemakers WR/DB, Pat Hussey (4 TD's receiving and 1 INT)

8:00
New Haven CHARGERS 21
Waterbury's OLD SKOOL 2

The score wasnt necessarily indicitive of how close the game was. Tied at zero 19 minutes into the game both teams exchanged safeties to knot the score at 2-2. With 9 minutes left in the game the Chargers put together back to back solid scoring drives to take a 15-2 lead. Old Skool got the ball back with under a minute to go but Charger LB Josh Moore intercepted QB Pete Torrez and returned it for a TD to end the game. Old Skool missed the other half of their 2 QB attack as Jerome Mitchell missed the game.

Player of the Game: Chargers DE, Jayson Lynch (2 Sacks, 2 batted balls and a Safety)

9:00
CT COWBOYS 24
Watertown UNKNOWNS 6

The Unknowns continue to improve and led the game early but must improve the QB poosition if they plan on climbing out of the basement. The Cowboys started off slow but QB Moe Ramos found Ol Reliable Justin Walters on 2 second half TD's to pull away from the Unknowns. Long time flagger Nick Perillo led the Unknowns defense with an INT and several passes defended

Player of the Game: Cowboys WR, Justin Walters (2 TD's receiving)
