| As I have said before there is no merger between the GCFFA and HFFL or myself and Antwon. What is put out by Antwon as he said has nothing to do with me and is his own idea for all the teams to consider.
There are more than a few reasons why this idea of one league is not in the cards for me and it has very litlle to do with money but many differences of opinion on logistics, formats and the goals of my organization. I also do agree that business's dont have to like each other to work together. Thats not my issue, I dont agree with the direction Antwon wants to take the league and I also will not engage in business with someone who I do not trust or someone on a power trip. I work with leagues all over the northeast and the nation and have no poblems whatsoever, in fact many leagues now work together due to my own mediation (HVTFFL & NFFL are an example). Those who are willing to work for a greater goal and to find compromise have forged great a great relationship with me. Those who want to conquer the world usually fall by the wayside in this game. For those who compete nationally just look at what went down with the USFTL and AF.
My goal for CT Flag has been and always will be to have several leagues or divisions in ideal locations all operating as one with teams playing where they live. What I do believe in is that there should be talent based divisions. The idea of a 30 or 40 team league lookds great until you get down to the details. No matter if you have 12 or 100 teams you are only playing so many games per year. So to say we have a 40 team league is just a way to show power, unless you balance the league it doesnt benefit anyone. Seperating the teams based on skill level and experience is the way I will be growing the GCFFA. To many teams are playing outside their talent level that is hurting them and the more competitive teams. Having a PRO or A division and a COMP or B division allows new/young teams to develop and more competitive teams the ability to challenge themselves week in and week out. The formula is proven and has worked in many other applications.
The state of CT has a large number of teams and we have many options for teams to compete in. I offer a product that I feel is best for the goals of the teams I work for and the goals of my organization. You can cut and paste all the standings and schedules in the world but in the end you are doing you and nothing else. I can easily do the same with the Hartford league, Long Island League, Rhode Island league, Texas League....whoever I want. There is nothi ng wrong with 2 organizations with different philosphies.....we can all play in a "super" playoff at the end or the "King of CT" (which would have been much larger last year if Antwon didnt throw a tournament the week before out of spite.....ASK THE HARTFORD TEAMS). If it isnt his way it cant happen...plain and simple.
I put together a package and A league that is a tremendous deal for the teams with many incentives. Take it or leave it but I will not work with someone I have no respect for. If that means I lose, then I lose (this is a about "winning" for Antwon). I have done a lot in this game and done alot for many of the people in this game. I'm standing on my principles on this one and if thats my demise then so be it.
LOOK FOR A MAJOR RELEASE ON THE NEWLY FORMED MCFFU Sanctioned "Northeast Flag Alliance" . We are changing the game and the entire region as we speak........BIG PICTURE!

I never denied working with you when you decided to take over rays league. We talked about a number of things that I wanted to do and many ideas you had and began working together to create something great. We talked about having 3-4 leagueas around the state and you being the commissioner of the Hartford league and you were all for it. Emails and calls for weeks as we worked on the New spring league. No problems
You first asked me about the One and Done and if I would co-sign with you....which I did, I still have the flyer YOU created and used to promote the event that read "Chris Severino and the GCFFA Proudly preset the 1st Annual One and Done.......HOSTED BY: ANTWON BLUNT" Many, if not all of the established teams questioned me as to what I though about you and I backed you 110%, everyone was cool with it when I explained how we were working together and that you were a good guy with some good ideas and that together we had something going. Had I not been there then you wouldnt be here now...ask them
You then asked me to get the Insurance for the One and Done fields at Conard High School......insurance that costs between $300 and $400 for a single weekend event. I did so for you and it was under the GCFFA name. It is listed below

Next was my 3rd annual Winter tournament in Shelton. We talked about you coming down to get a feel for how we run an MCFFU event with big time teams. We talked about you taking pictures for the event and being compensated for doing so. $1000??? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Those words never came out of my mouth. Why would they when I have never cleared mopre than $1900 on a tournament and that was split between 3 people ($635 each) When I introduced you to the MCFFU head of officials and the other staff members as the GCFFA's new Hartford commissioner you were nothing but smiles and handshakes. The tournament started and after 10:30 that morning the only othe rtime I saw you was when you were in uniform and on the Gatorz sideline. I received ZERO, NOT ONE picture for the entire weekend. There was NOTHING to pay you for let alone $1000! SMH
That event passed and we continued to recruit teams for the spring league together. Things were moving well and the teams were adding up. No problems
The One and Done was a 4 days away and you asked me for payment for the Chargers and I chuckled and dismissed it, not thinking you were serious. The next day came and youu mentioned it again and I replied that you can take it off the Insurance that I paid for and provided. You called me Friday night before the One and Done and I told you I was out with clients and would get back to you. 8:45 The next morning The captain of the Chargers informs me that you will not speak to him and forfeited us out of the tournament. I called you a dozen times BEFORE our scheduled game time without an answer. That night I check the website to see that all the GCFFA information, the website link and my name were all erased. Still No Answer on yur phone. Say whatever you want but that was a scumbag move to someone who did nothing but help you and had already come out of pocket for you. Ok all the teams are PAID now so you dont need me or my name anymore so I am out.
Then you have tehe Waterbury Raiders......they paid there $350 and before the schedule was released informed you they wouldnt be playing and wanted a refund. You gave them NOTHING back
Not charge them a penalty and give thema partial refund NOTHING.
As for your so called merger attempts or me backing out of anything your full of shit and you know it. It never happened that way and the only thing I offered was to work together on the King of CT, lower the team fees drastically and have a HUGE CT only tournament that would be second to none. As for your bullshit offer I told you I would consider it, which I did and less than 48 hours late told you No thanks
Now your talking about the Oilers not getting $1500? For what?? I hope your not talking about the King of CT? If you are you can look it up and see that the open division Champion would receive $750 not $1500, it also stated that this was based on A MINIMUM OF 6 TEAMS PER DIVISION. There were 2.....I should have had both teams play up into the PRO but being the guy I am i seperated them on Sunday and let the 2 teams battle it out for trophies, shirts and a half bid to FL. When the Oilers didnt take the half bid to FL I could have saved that money but instead gave it to the Bulldogs who were going to FL. I talk to Bombe on the regular and if there was a problem he would let me know and we would have taken care of it. End of Story
You see, you can spit out any nonsense you want but it doesnt mean its true just because you say it is. Like I said before, I have made mistakes in this game over my 5 years as a Commissioner but I challenge you to find the team that I havent looked out for, a team that I didnt go out of my way for when they needed something, a team I didnt vouch for when needed, a team that if they felt slighted I didnt make it right. Any team that has ever had an issue or a miscommunication with me we have resolved without a problem.
Again, I am doing my thing right now and am doing so with the vision that I have for the flag game across the state, region and country. I havent attacked you or your league, I have only promoted mine and continued to focus on that. If what I am doing doesnt work and yours does, good for you......but I believe in what I am doing and I know what I have to offer the players and teams that choose to be apart of it.

The flyers was simply my idea to isolate ray long and to show the rest of the flag football world that we were merging. Both Oilers and steelers were not given what they thought or was advertised for King Of Ct. im not going to argue that cuz its pointless i was there asked the teams owners what they won and both told me they were shorted. | This shit is all out now. We have 2 people who are standing strong on their points. Can we now play FOOTBALL!!!! We have leagues and tournaments to settle things on the field. Who ever you believe you believe. The truth of the matter is they are the only guys who know what happened and they are the only people who need to know. It is no one's business but they put it out for everyone to see. that showed character on both sides. So play where you want and have fun doing it. As far as the merger, we all can see it's too soon for that so everybody put your money up for the clash for cash and see what happens then.Maybe next year or something.
