I may not totally agree with the rules/guidelines set forth by certain exemption rules or other areas in the by-laws but I respect them and abide by them.

God damnit!! I've spent days trying to get sponsors, ordering uniforms, collecting waivers to help Chip out and try to help our team compete....I don't have it in me to try and ruin a season for the whole team by forfeiting and wasting all the time invested and our sponsors money...sponsors that put their faith and trust in me that I would uphold my ethical responsibility as an officer for the team...sorry, it's not worth it.
I enjoy this league but now it's getting to the point where my character has come into question as to whether or not I'm a cheater? Fuck you if you said it, it's not true and I'm appauled at the level of immaturity spreading bullshit rumors about me.
If you know me, you know I respect this diamond that I've played on for more than 25 years and I love this game...shame on you if you have nothing better to do than stir up unwarranted bullshit for no reason!!

Chip hears "buzz going around about our roster" claiming that we are using fake names and I'm standing up because apparently (according to multiple conversations) I'm responsible for everything that our team does????....wrong...I never claimed any responsibility aside from a couple pickups and ordering new uni's and raising 1750 in sponsorships. I DO PAD THE STATS a bit. I hate after I do the stats and then get the phone calls, emails and texts, that I went 3-4 not 2-4. Not to mention the the rundown of each game while attempting to go home and have some family time.
For you managers and score keepers out there....how many times have you been trying to score the game, watch the game, and make sure people get into the game AND GET ..WHAT'S THE SCORE? HOW MANY OUTS? ARE WE WINNING/LOSING? If you are taking me out of the game, can I still get that last at bat in.
Being a coach isn't always fun...get to the field, line it, put together a batting order...change batting order for the 3rd time, score the game or ask someone to score it, PLAY in said game, do the stats, CORRECT the stats, go to a meeting or two. Attempt to have somewhat of a practice and 3 people show up. Sarcastic...it's a freaking good time!!

If people are going to pad stats we shouldn't keep them at all. I know that there will never be consistency across the board because some scorekeepers are more generous than others but fudging the stats makes keeping them a waste of time. Chip-make sure you have sun lotion for your nuts this year- either that or wear some longer shorts- sun damaged sack is no good.

I think what he was referring to was moreso if a hit is a hit or if an error was a hit.....every coach typically gives the benefit of the doubt to its players at every level.
In the A's and the majors for softball, a walk counts as a hit.
Not playing devil's advocate here, but padding the stats isn't the operative term as much as giving the benefit of the doubt in Chip's example.
What he was called out for was giving credit to players on games where they never attended....since I've been a part of the team, I've never seen anything near the sort.

I pick Embrace as well Danilo. They got the best hitter and ..they want to win the most. Just like CM last year. Hinske can be a starting OF on any team in the league, he's elite, don't hate. Nate, just like you said, is a slap hitting lefty that did just that for us last year. for what its worth on a smackboard, only being my 1st year in this league last year playing for Chip I'll point out this scenario involving him.....playing against Backstabbers in a tight game both of us wanting to win to keep ground for the upper playoff spots..
Chip (just prior too busy giving Kirby a hand-job behind the bench) suddenly calls time out, as 1 of our batters is in the midst of a 2-1 count. he realized the wrong batter was up and should have been on-deck.
he explains to his batter and umps as they all assumed automatic out...so being a usssa ump myself, I head over to explain in fact it is not an out because Chip had caught the mistake before the at-bat was complete and the correct batter can take over the liable count and finish the at-bat without being charged the out. as both umps then recalled and agreed and the Backstabbers screaming bs, Chip decides to stand up for his mistake and elects to be charged the out.

thats funny, Ive seen that picture before because I remember that its also funny how my SUV is behind him.
the no.4 of the 13 steps is all over it. lb4lb, I will not make excuses, but this is pretty good example of not letting the batting avg be the big picture. I started off pretty good but just like I told Chip at the beginning, when it gets too hot,sunny and humid on those certain days, dont hesitate to sit me after the 1st game as I easily heat exhaust, get sick and will be useless.
of course, I did not expect the worst heat wave we have ever had that started end of May thru the season. by that time we were unfortunately pretty lean with a reliable 12 to show consistantly...which also sucked because for the 1st time in over 8 yrs, I went thru an entire season without my groin acting up once now that I was down to my more ideal weight.
But again, I hate to make excuses because Ive lived and always stubbornly pushed myself thru it to play ball no matter what. Between my Full-time job,umpiring and playing a little less has been helping it heal stronger over the off-season. This year will be my 1st attempting to go back to full swinging (mentally and physically) or as Matt would put it to me " Can I get an Angry Swing out of ya". The only good thing that came out of trying to compensate keeping the full "torque" out of my swing was getting better going to the opposite side.

But anyhow Bob, .438 with 73 abs looks pretty weak I know,and of course I am a 1/2 full glass kinda guy especially when it comes to myself.
If u look at the most important part of offensive production, I was right there in the top with making it count with RBI's. So my RBI/AB ratio was just as good if not slightly better than everyone else on the team who hit the ball with more power than me, with the exception of Kirby and I think Adam. and thats not to bash or sell anyone else short...just sayin.
for ex.. again not meant personal just weighing my point with some of the guys who had more RBIs than me, for a guy like Madison who showed up just about as regular as me had a hghr avg. 32 RBI's to my 24 but he had 90 ABs and hit 5 HRs and odviously batted more consistantly in the top portion of the order than I did.
Matt, who struggled big time the 1st half came around strong = 67 ABs ,highr avg,25 RBIs - 10 HRs.
Vernett, hghr avg, 97 ABs, 29 RBIs - 2HRs.
and if u look thru the whole roster its pretty much the same formula with anyone who had more or around what I batted in.
plus lb4lb, that was more productive than u...just sayin. and dont even think about an excuse like RBI opportunities because I highly doubt ur lineup u had gave u less of an opportunity than mine.
plus, our only win out of the 4 games head to head against u guys, was because I was pitching and kept ur bats mostly silent until I overheated, but by the end of that game, we had too big of momentum to lose it. and with that, I will play every position well most times without feeling uncomfortable or complaining about it.....hows that for cocky.
