The final week of the regular season has come and gone. The playoffs seeds are now set and it is it time for the postseason. Unfortunetly, the Sharks and Unknowns fell short in their quest for the postseason but both teams played very hard all season. On the flip side, the Knights, Playmakers, Chargers and Raiders all head into the playoffs coming of wins.

6:00
RAIDERS (Waterbury) 38
SHARKS (Bristol) 12

The Raiders were in a must win if they wanted to guarantee their playoff spot and also ensure they stayed out of the 6th seed. With the Sharks starting the game light, the Raiders jumped out quick behind QB Brian Chounairds opening play 55yd TD pass to Steve Dunbar. LB Alby Domonicano recorded 2 sacks on the next defenseive series and Chounard quicklyled the offense back into the endzone with a TD strike ot Reggie Hunter. Chounard would throw 3 more TD passes and scramble for another as the Raiders won easily. Sharks captain and QB Phil Cushon kept them fighting as he threw for a TD and used his legs and hips to make the entire defense miss on a highlight real 35yd TD run.

Player of the Game: Brian Chounaird QB, Raiders (5 TD's Passing, 1 TD rushing)

CHARGERS (New Haven) 35
UNKOWNS (Watertown) 0

The Chargers had a chance to jump into the #2 seed with a big win and a little help from the Cowboys later in the night........that speeled doom for the Unknowns. The Chargers scored on 2 Pic-6's and QB Troy Brown settled in and threw for 3 more TD's in the win. WR/DE Chad Germe contributed 2 TD's and 2 extra points receiving and 2 sacks (1 for a safety) from his DL position to lead the Chargers

Player of the Game: Rich Kirkland CB, Chargers (2 INT's, 1 for a TD)

8:00
PLAYMAKERS (Naugatuck) 12
COWBOYS (Connecticut) 0

This was a pivotal game for playoff seeding and both defenses showed up early and controlled the game. After a scoreless first half, MVP Candidate Rob Servidas finally broke through and tossed a 35yd TD score to take a 6-0 lead. The Cowboys battled back and found themselves in the redzone on 2 occassions but relentless pressure and a few over thrown balls resulted in turnovers. Servidas added a 3 yd Td pass to seal the victory and lock up the 2 seed for the Playmakers

Player of the Gmae: Rob Servidas QB, Playmakers (2 Td's passing)

9:00
KNIGHTS (Southington) 46
OLD SKOOL (Waterbury) 6

Knights QB Jon Esmail was challenged to have some respect by Old Skool coach Shane Connelly who also told Ish that he would "eat his words" after the QB's assessment of Old Skool. Coach Connelly missed the game due to illness and its probably bessed he did because Old Skools performance may have made him vomit. As promised Ish "ate Old Skools secondary" scorching the young defense for 6 total TD's.
