| As many of you know, Antwon (CFFL) and I have met in the last 2 days to at least have an open discussion of our two leagues working together. To what extent and the format is not yet decided but we both agree that some type of compromise or understanding needs to be reached for the betterment of the game.
These are some of the different options we have discussed, we may or may not do one of them for the spring......it is just 1 week away, or possibly begin planning for the fall to impliment.
I would like as much feedback as possible and putting your name and team on your reply's would help tremendously.
OPTION 1
NO MERGER WHATSOEVER
Hartford and Waterbury would remain seperate indipendant leagues with there own playoffs and champions. Teams would have a chance to play each other in the Annual "King of CT" tournament held in August. We would make the event a joint venture between the leagues (50/50)
OPTION 2.........(.mERGER a OR mERGER b)
MERGER A (Playoffs Only)
DIVISIONS
-Waterbury will have 3 divisions, Hartford will have 5 divisions
-Divisions will Be balanced based on last year teams successes
-Teams will play their each team in their division once
INTER LEAGUE
-NO Interleague Games Regular Season
PLAYOFFS
-Waterbury will have 3 divisions. 2 divisions in the “AFC” and 1 division the “NFC to ensure playoffs mix totaling 3 “guaranteed” playoff spots out of 12 available
-Hartford will have 5 divisions..2 in the AFC and 3 in the NFC totAling 5 “guranteed PLAYOFF spots out of 12 available
PRO PLAYOFFS A
-Division Winners will receive automatic Playoff bid Next 4 best records in each confference (8 Total)will fill rest of “Pro” Bracket
B DIVISION PLAYOFFS
-next 12 best records any league
-2, 22 minute halfs
C DIVISION PLAYOFFS
-next 12 best records any league
-2 ,20 minute halfs
MERGER B (1 week inter league play)
DIVISIONS
-Waterbury will have 3 divisions, Hartford will have 5 divisions
-Divisions will Be balanced based on last year teams successes
-Teams will play their each team in their division once Inter League
-Waterbury's top 12 seeds will play Hartfords top 12 seeds thgis week...
-1vs1...2vs2... etc etc... based on the current standings in the league...
-teams not in top 12 in current standings will play regualar“In League” schedule
PRO DIVISION A PLAYOFFS
-Division Winners will receive automatic Playoff bid
-Next 4 best records in each confference (8 Total)will fill rest of “Pro” Bracket
B DIVISION PLAYOFFSD
-next 12 best records any league
-2, 22 minute halfs
C DIVISON PLAYOFFS
-next 12 best records any league
-2 ,22 minute halfs
OPTION 3
Each league mantains their own schedule and status.
One week in the season (predetermined), would be designated as a cross-over or rivalry week. Format simiar to above, where the current standings at that time will dictate the match-ups. For example, we take the standings at the end of week 6 and create the week 7 schedule with Waterbury #1 vs Hartford #1, Waterbury #2 vs Hartford #2 and so on down the line.
The playoffs are held independently.........
PLAYOFF SCENARIO #1
Complete each playoff, crowning seperate league champions then have each leagues final 4 teams play an addition playoff to crown a state champion. This would be a single say playoff with the seeding as follows
W1 vs H4 W2 vs H3 W3 vs H2 W4 vs H1
Winners advance to semi-finals and then Championship.

| JUST WANTED TO CLEAR THINGS UP ABOUT THE "DIVISIONS".. THEY WOULD ESSENTIALLY BE "POOLS" JUST LIKE THE MCFFU DOES THEIR SEEDING...uSUALLY THE BEST RECORD IN the "pool" in MCFFU tournments advance to Sundays pro division bracket
Just like in this division scenario.... the winner of our "pools" will get a pro division playoff spot
Chris and i will try to seed the "pools" just as the MCFFU would if he and i come to an agreement... They dont have to be called divisions
Again this is no different than how the MCFFU does it when selecting brackets and determining who enters sundays pro division

| This is a great idea. Merger proposal granted coming from this way. Plus it would be nice to see the elite teams of Conn. bang out for CT braging rights. This could be the talk of the state.

| I dont think we should merge. Let the winners play each other after the season if they want.or thats what the king of CT tourny is for.

| CHRIS LET THE TEAMS THAT WANT TO PLAY WITH US COME TO OUR LEAGUE AND LET THE OTHERS STAY IN HARTFORD. THE MERGE IS GOING TO CUT INTO TOURNY TIME. ITS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD IF WE DONT PLAY EVERY TEAM PLUS ALOT OF GUY PLAY LOCAL AND DONT WANT TO TRAVEL.SO NO MERGE

| there will be no traveling... you will play your same schedule in waterbury...there could never be a full merger as you can only play ten teams per season..
in the king of ct... teams have to travel twice... theres no difference... it wont run ointo tournaments either....
any more concerns please keep responding

| i would also like to add... this isnt about playing more teams... or playing every team... becasue you cant as you can only play ten teams per year...
its about everyones playing the same sport and we can create 1 championshiop belt that everyone respects beacuse all teams are involved.
You cannot play all the teams its impossible
To put it in perspective... if i bowed out and gave chris the hartford league and all teams registered with chris....would you say do not allow those teams to compete? No you would consider it 1 league...
Im even willing to do this... Lets just call it chriss league and these are all his teams...

| No merger. Thats what the kings of ct is about. Its more to talk about when there's 2 leagues in the state. Be sides, all the Hartford teams wanna do is fight.

| I like this site... I'm not going to say to much on here but if you think all the Hartford teams want to do is fight your wrong. Let's not try and go against the merger let's all be for it unless teams are running from competition

| First off a full merger is a great idea if done right, however with only 8 days till the start of the season, it would be smart to wait till the fall. One way to determine a CT champ would be to allow the two league champions to play a final super bowl, this will not take the place of a tourny cause you will need to compete all season and win your league to have a shot at the crown. Dont take away from the importance of winning the league you're in by rushing this. Get it right for the fall. It's a great sign just to see the door opening.

| We can also have a pro bowl game preceding the super bowl. All stars from both leagues minus players representing the championship teams

| i understand that about king of CT... but as was said in my 1st post when asking chris to merge.... a benefit of the merger would be that i would not hold my state championships tournament CT V.S. The world in the summer... the 2 tournaments running at the same time will butt heads and both tourneys will lose potential teams... but again i cant make you teams want to merge.
With a merger or 1 league.... when the league champ is crowned in each divison A, B, C.... as a business man i feel that the King of CT will be able to get many more customers as it will be the first chance teams get a shot at the newly crowned CT STATE CHAMP.
Again i offered this to ensure a smooth trangressoion into tournamenmts , seasons etc etc... if it doesnt work there is no hard feelings and we can try at a later date. Just a heads up as if we dont merge we will continue our regular courses of action with our league and tournaments

| and to the fighting comment... our lague is run in hartford... but the more the majority of its players do not live in hartford...i would say about maybe 33 percent of the league lives in hartford if even that much... weve had no fights in the 2 seeasons ive run the league because contact with another persons face at all... results in a suspension and a fineof $100 or more

| i here what everone is saying but if i play in a league with 10 o12 teams I want to crown a champ of our league. you crown a champ of yours and the tourny can settle the rest. also their a league in fairfield and one in stratford and im sure a few more are we going to get tthem involve too. also you said we wouldnt have to travel so all the hartford teams would just come to waterbury that wouldnt be far to them eitheir

| I don't see why ppl are making a big fuss of the merger...if u being playing this game in ct for yrs...u know we have been trying to make this happen...in the kings of ct tournament, u can suck in ct, win that ship n be crowned king of ct...really??? All teams everywhere be saying: "oh if such n such team was in our league, bet they wont do this or wouldn't be us"...shut up and prove it during regular season shyt...not in a tournament ...on any given Sunday!!!

| wow feavah that was very well stated and you have worded what ive been trying to express better than i have....
A season is a marathon, a battle tester, more dedication.., and all teams are present
A tournament... teams borrow players from other teams who arent participating
A tournament teams only play about 3-5 games.. and their the fastes hlafs known to man kiind
1 entire game in a tournament (44 minutes) is about 1 half in our lreafues 35 minutes
But like fevah says and no way trying to diminish the king of ct tournament... but if only 9-10 teams play...and they are mixed...the title of KING OF CT should be for the leagues not a tournament..
Fevah i anm going re copy and paste what you wrote on my site... if you would like me to take it down off my site just let me know thanks as it was very well worded
With no disrespect to you paul and this is not directed towards you at all just my oppinion.. To make 1 league champion gives the most authentic champion possible...every team is represented

| im trying to make it so that it is as hard as possibe for teams to win or get a championship... like io said before,i cant make evryone or your league merge... as evryone is not built to take on the toughest possible challenge....Theres a reason why leagues offer a divisions and B divisions
This merger would be for the true top competitors who want to make it hard on themselves to win... and not just run through the leagues year in and year out...Its your call

| I agree with both Snugg (trojan 4) and fevah on this. I dont think it should be rushed but i'm pumped that it looks like finally we can get a super leauge in CT. What Fevah is saying is true about the team who wins that league would be the true Champs!!! I also think every team should enter the kings of ct because that would be a blast! Every team battling all weekend with only 1 standing at the end! Chris and Cash make this happen but Please dont rush it...

| Im pretty sure most teams in waterbury do not want to merge as chris has informed me. Every team in Hartford is ready to merge for the playoffs full steam ahead.
Its clear we have two different sets of customers and im not trying to make teams that dont want the hard competition to win a championship.
As far as rushing im not understanding whata to rush... its just making a schedule. no one travels, no one plays outside their city except for playoffs
With 100% of my customers ready to rumble, and the waterbury teams hesitant... Its probably not going to happen as the 2 sides want two different types of competition. And theres nothing wrong with that.
Chris has been told that i need an answer by wednesday or i have to continue on with my yearly schedule trhis year.
Again theres nothing wrong with your teams being hesitant...I just thought most teams wanted it to make it harder on themselves to win a league championship. My customers do and chris informed me his customers dont.
So why should we make your teams merge if you dont want to... it doesnt make sense. As i informed chris to listen to his customers.
My customers are ready to rumble, no disrespect,as its very easy to merge the playoffs and not something thats rocket science or hard to do. Maybe next spring. Its waterburys call not ourr as our teams have no hesitation whatsoever

| tell all your teams to sign up for Chris's league he won't turn any teams down. And the Hartford teams can play in Hartford and everyone can play the best teams. you ever think people don't want to be involved with you and not the other team?? We do travel around the country to play the best and last I checked no team in Hartford ever won anything outside ct??
