| We are all set for Sunday. The donor van will be at Foster from 10-2. Please make an effort to go over there from your field, the swabbing takes 5 mins and is totally painless. Ins. or no ins, they will swab you. I found out at a meeting last night the process is this:If you get contacted as a possible match,AJ Costa, you go do blood work and if that looks good you have 2 choices to donate bone marrow, traditional from the pelvic area, under general anesthesia or you get hooked up to a machine and they draw out blood it goes through a machine extracting the marrow and then back into your body with no surgery. Last night, I met a young man who had leukemia, his treatment was chemo and radiation and it put the Leukemia in remission for a yr. It came back and once they try a procedure you can not repeat it and his last hope was a bone marrow transplant but he was adopted and didn't know who his parents were,so a family memeber wasn't possible. WITHOUT the Bone Marrow Registry, he would have died. It is very important and REAL to increase that registry so more people will have a possible match. I just thought a little extra info would help some become a registrant in the bone marrow registry.
Good Luck to all teams playing this Sunday.

| Couple more things: Tie breaker for pool play is head to head and then run differential. Every game is a coin flip for home. Each team can pick up their beer between 10-2 at Foster at the donor tent, but please NO DRINKING at the fields.

| I wanted to thank everyone again for their participation in the Leukemia and Lymphoma charity tournament.
Extra thanks to CCFD and the Pub for raising more than the entry fee.
The Coventry League once again proved that we are more than just a softball league.
All ball busting aside, you are men of great character.
We raised $1993, after paying the umps, for the LLS. GREAT JOB!!!
We also signed up 33 people to the Bone Marrow Registry, which is awesome.
Thanks again,
Tuck

| Some team left their bases including home plate at Foster. Who is missing those? Cozy has them.
Also congrats to Embrace Home Loans/Hope Oil for winning their half of the championship defeating GQ in a good game.
Congrats also to Sports Legends who defeated Moulton in their Championship game.
