| Something to think about...Flag guarding by the qb behind the line off scrimmage should be considered a sack...one of our DE's had two surefire sacks that the qb blantently flag guarded, it got called, but there isnt much credit for that. Plus in all actuality its an even greater impact because they lose more yards. Just food for thought.

| Good point nut not sure you should credit a full sack because the flag pull is still assummed and not guaranteed. Maybe a half sack would be more appropriate

| But either way the penalty is marked from the spot that the flag guard occured (contact between the quarterback and the flag puller)So it shouldnt matter if the flag is pulled or not. At the spot of the flag guard thats where the ball is dead anyways

| Ish I understad your point but you can't give someone a sack if the flag isn't pulled. Just like you can't give someone a TD on an inadvertent whistle with his flags still on. It sucks but thats how football is

| Cant give shank a TD, if the db trips him. Sorry ish, Football isnt a bunch of what if's! Besides Not all DE's have hands like Patterson.
