| Knights vs. Warriors
The classic big brother vs. little brother, Varsity vs. JV match up. This is a great way to start the day. There is a lot in this game that peaks my interest. How will Ex-Knight Dawud Hanif fair against his former team? Will the former Warriors star QB Josh Withee excel at the WR position with his new team? Look for both of these players to try to put on a show to prove that they made the right decision by switching teams. The Knights have always had the upper hand when these squads face off. Even though the Warriors have slowly been closing the gap, the Knights still come out on top as it seems they are always one step ahead of their cross town rival.
Line - Knights -10
Bell City vs. Old Skool
Old Skool coming off of a rough week, starting the season 0-2, but they are going to do everything in their power to turn the season around. Will Shane's message board reruiting bring in some much needed talent or will we see the same Old Skool that took a 40-0 Beating from the Warriors last week? Still do not know too much about this Bell City aka Ace of Fadez aka Paradise Pool team but they did manage to knock off the Sharks in the Battle of Bristol, however I see Old Skool fixing a few of their problems and squeaking out a close win.
Line - Old Skool -2
Pookies vs. Chargers
Both teams suffering ugly losses last week, desperately need a win. Look for Chris and Shank to go out and pick up a couple Offensive Lineman as it seemed to be the weak point of their team in their last outting. If they can provide some protection up front for rising star QB Troy Brown there is no telling where he can bring this team. Chargers should go up early and win this one going away. Look for them to score at every chance they get as they try to get back in the swing of things after their tough loss to the defending Champs.
Line - Chargers -13
Old Skool vs. Trojans
After one week in the books Trojans have shown they intend on repeating and taking home the hardware for a second straight Spring Season. If the Trojans bring the same team this week as they opened with last week Old Skool unfortunately will be completely out matched and suffer yet another loss. Look for QB Sampon Pommachanh to connect early and often with his dangerous Wide reciever threats as the Trojans maintain that top spot in the GCFFA Power Rankings.
Line - Trojans -24
Gators vs. Raiders
Both teams looked strong in lopsided victories last week but should be tied up in a tough battle against each other this week. Raiders will come out very phyiscal and try to bully their way to a win but the gators will show once again that losing some players to injury and team changes will not slow them down or detour them from reaching the playoffs and being a contender in the Super League. Gators win a close one, staying unbeaten in the 2011 season.
Line - Gators -3
Bulldogs vs. Canes
Canes are coming into this game confident despite their mediocore performance on opening weekend but the Bulldogs aren't driving all that way from Willamantic to get beat up on. Bulldogs are going to try to prove that they are the top team in the GCFFA since making the move from Hartford. Look for them to make this a statement game as they come out firing on all cylinders and unexpectedly blow the Canes out in this early season match up. There are a few teams out this way that do not know what the bulldogs are all about having never faced them but after this one, everyone will know what they intend to do this year.
Line - Bulldogs -17
Tig Ole Bitties vs. Canes
Canes will come into this game saying enough is enough, this is a must win for them. Both teams still without a win, its going to come down to who wants it more. This game looks to be a pretty good match up on paper, but the Canes are going to come out with a chip on their shoulder and send the Tig Ole Bitties home still without a win in 9-man. But with patience and time to grow the Tig Ole Bitties will be taking on some of the big boys in the flag game in the near future.
Line - Canes -6
Bulldogs vs. Gators
The headline for this one reads "Game of the Day." This being the second game of a double header for both teams, they will both be a little tired but the way the game will be going back and forth you would never be able to tell. I see them both be able to move the ball up end down the field but its going to go to whoever has the better Redzone offense on Sunday. Gators QB Joey Edmonds should have a pretty productive day but will fall just short because of the constent pressure for the Bulldogs relentless Defensive line.
Line - Bulldogs -5
