| The Good Life Tourney-
Palm Sunday Weekend- Friday April 15th & 16th and Afternoon of 17th...
Where: Marion Pyramid Park Rt. 37 and ?
Who: Any One who can have fun and enjoy the game.
What? ASA Modified "Chicago Back Yard Rules"
Looking for 8 Men Teams and 4 Coed Teams.
Rules: Team goes up 10 Runs... next batter goes opposite >
Next inning other team brings Run total under 10... goes back to normal. Lots of fun and laughts with this!
Pitching Rule... Hit the Pitcher above the waiste with Line Drive
You lose a Run. Hit him twice you lose two runs. Defined as
Waiste to Head and elbow to shoulder.
Cause: Well, we can gather with families enjoy the day AND
bring out old softball and baseball equipment for Israeli/Palestinian Softball and Baseball leagues.
I (Dave Tucker) was there in Fall of 2007 and we taught a lot of the game... lot of fun and relationships and "Baseball is America's great Secret" Big Bin in parking lot for donations... New and Used.
State Farm Partially sponsor event and this Idea will travel around the Nation as we move forward ...but it is starting in Marion! This will put Southern Illinois on the map of great things to do next weekend.
Fees: $88.00 per team $12.59 per individual to make up teams.

Any other sponsors call ... need to raise about $3500 to get container over there... I'll work on sponsorship to get over their with the Israeli Government and our US of A.

| Due to rain heavily forecast for Thursday overnight and most of the day on Friday.... we will not do the night of the 15th.
We have 4 men teams committed now, more are hedging...
So, we will do a one day round robin, then then seed then play for the top.
Meet at 10 am... figure out what we have to do for a one day tourney. Fee based for Umps pay so lets do a spring... tourney with the Chicago Back Yard rules... All teams welcome. Call 574-607-5717 to come out so we know how to schedule Or. see me at the field tonight, John and I will be there late games bottom fields for McAlister's.
Hold Off on the softball equip. donations for the Israeli leagues..
we will do that with the Leagues first two weeks of Summer Season where all can join in the fun.

| After consulting with the wise John and famed Mr. Reid... it was noted that we should play Ball when it's not so wet... we want to kick the "Good Life" league off with a spark this year with a tourney but not like this where a slip here or there and someone will be out for a while.. us old guys have to watch it.
So, look for a post soon announcing the The Good Life Tourney which is what the Church league will be called this year... looking for 8 to 12 men's teams for the season and for the tourney...
Pass the word... total church affiliation or org NOT needed this year!
