| First off, big ups to all of the teams that participated; especially to the Champions. A - AllMet Core B - Cleveland Canes C - Hostile Takeover
As the Tournament Director I will say that we had way too many issues/situations that occurred this past weekend. Such issues (to me) ruined the true nature of how we ball in the DMV. I personally apologize to Young Crew from ATL and to Killswitch from the B-Lo. Those situations that occurred were just down right wrong. Much props to them for keeping their cool and keeping it moving because I truly would have had a hard time walking away from those issues with the class you all had. Since I was the Director, I must take full responsibility for those actions. Now, the Coaches of those teams need to do the same. TP Dolphins have been involved in this game way too long and have competed on the highest level for years. As a team, your actions this weekend really left a lot of puzzling thoughts in my mind. Not calling you cats out but the leaders of this team need to act like leaders and stop adding fuel to the fire. As leaders/coaches, you should really put more effort into controlling your own players (regardless of what happens during a game). This game is about competition - not win by any means necessary; and if we lose we are going to hold the tournament hostage. Other than that, the Deep Impact vs Cleveland Canes game went down to the wire and was played under harsh conditions (getting dark as hell) but both teams continued and had the same advantage/disadvantage and it came down to the last play with DIP on the 5 yard line down 2 points. The Canes "D" held, and it was a classic ending to some straight up hardnosed football. Sorry about the light situation, but both teams competed hard and shook hands when it was over. The Metro Cup is one hell of a tournament but I will have to really reconsider being the Director again - but the show will go on (with or without me).

| Big props to you Coleman for directing another successful tournament. Once again just goes to show your passion for the flag football tournament. As a ref part of the day Saturday and all day Sunday I thought the games were a great display of the way the game should be played in my opinion (competetive, respectful and with integrity). Unfortunately some teams do not get this aspect of the game and have no idea as to how the game should be played. I wasn't reffing the game you made reference to and can only say that is a complete shame on a number of levels. If a ref saw a guy come off the sideline to pull a flag on what should have been a touchdown then that team should have been awarded a TD and that player ejected for the remainder of the tournament and if it's the last game then the next tournament. As refs you can only do but so much but it is a must that you call what you see and do your best to control the game....not determine the outcome but control the game (big difference here). As a coach or leader it's your obligation to lead by example (as a coach I tell my team that we are not to argue any calls or talk to the refs about a call) and they will never see me out of character as it relates to a call. It is troubling to see some of the behavior out here but at the end of the day you're dealing with grown men and women and can only do but so much. Congrats to the champions and to all who participated this weekend. Best wishes the remainder of the year and hope to see everyone at nationals...if not sooner!

| George By far it was a Great tournament!! you can't hold yourself responsible for the actions of grown men!! I saw the Yung Crew game and they handled that like men hope those guys continue to make the trip up for tournaments and not let what happen sunday keep them from coming back.

| George I didnt know about some of the issues but I commend you for taking it on your shoulders as the Director of the tourney. It was some good bump this weekend. My main issue/concern was with the officiating. As an official for flag and high school. I understand not getting every call correct or missing calls. Hell, i even understand not knowing every rule in the book but the thing that you learn first as an official is 1) looking the part and 2) being in position to make the correct call. Although there were some really solid officials, there were too many out there that had no clue. Please find some better quality officials and get rid of those who dont take pride or take serious their craft b/c while some are on point, others are just stealing money and making the area tournies and leagues look bad.
