| It was a wet and sloppy day and many teams were without key players but in the end it was the kind of good old fashioned grind it out, muddy football that most players love.
Trojans 25 Raiders 0
The Raiders were able to keep it close early behind DB Brian Chouinards 3 interceptions but as the game wore on, the Raiders (with only 11 players) couldnt contain the Trojans athletes. Brian Walker threw for 4 TDs and Jeff Norko had a TD receiving and an INT to lead the balanced attack.
UNFORTUNETLY AN ALTERCATION AFTER THE GAME WILL BE RESULTING IN SUSPENSIONS FOR THE RAIDERS, AS PHYSICAL VIOLENCE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED REGARDLESS IF THE GAME HAS ENDED OR NOT.
Knights 35 Chargers 0
This was a laugher and for the Chargers an embarrassment. After playing well in a close loss to the Bulldogs last week, they returned with just 10 players and the Knights gave them a humbling beating. Jon Esmail threw for 4 TD's and ran in another and Josh Withee had his most productive game of the season for the Knights.
Pookies 32 Trojans 18
Pookies of Waterbury seems to have gotten back to there old bruising ways and are looking like they may be a problem come playoff time. The Trojans were light with only 13 guys sticking around for the 2nd game but the way Pookies have been playing it may not have mattered. QB Rob Saunders threw 2 TD's and rushed for another and RB's #21 and #44 each had a receiving TD and a rushing TD. Delroy Morris filled in at Qb and threw for 2 TD's for the Trojans
Gators 20 Old Skool 14
The Gators jumped on top early behind QB Kenny Tinney (making his 2nd straight start), but Old Skool showed some poise and battled back to make it a game. Defensive end #33 again had 2 sacks for Old Skool and Tommy Unger led the Gators pass rush with 3 sacks of his own
T.O.B 26 Pookies 20 *2OT
This was hands down the best game of the day as both teams exchanged knockout punches before TOB landed the final blow in the 2nd overtime. Saunders used the play action and a solid running attck to jump ot to a 20-13 lead but TOB's Kerry Palmer calmly drove down the field and tied the score at 20. In the second OT Palmer rushed to the right pylon to put the Bitties up 6 and the defense behind 3 consecutive sacks from Kerzell Barnes and james Blanchette shut down the Pookies attack
