| In a CVBA Pony game on 6-2-11 at Robinson Field, the home plate umpire stated that a manager has a limit on trips to the mound in a game before removing the pitcher . He was fair in that he gave me a warning before making me take the pitcher out. There is no limit per game, not even in MLB. Instead, 2 trips in an inning means the pitcher must be removed. The manager could visit the mound once per inning and not have to remove the pitcher. Please explain this rule to the umpire that was on duty. I even reviewed the CVBA rules on this website and they do not mention this incorrect rule that I was provided.

| High School added a new rule this year limiting trips to the mound on a per game basis to speed up the game. CVBA did not adopt this rule.

| Please inform the umpires so they understand the rule only applies to HS baseball. Thank you
