| I witnessed a fielder (Shortstop) obstruct a base runner heading from second to third during a play in which a ground ball was fielded by the pitcher, and then thrown onto first base for the third out. My question is does this have any effect on the outcome of the play?

| You have a delayed dead ball (obstruction). Once the out was made you have nothing.

| To add to my previous response. The obstruction call would only benefir the runner obstructed, since no play was made on her and the third out was made, you have nothing!!
