| GATORS vs. CHARGERS Who would have thought the season would come down to this match up between The two teams everyone thought would suffer from spliting up and going their seperate ways. Throughout the season both teams had their ups and downs, but now that it every game counts here in the playoffs both teams are looking stronger and better than ever. Both teams coming in off of upset victories over the #2 seed Warriors and #3 seed Bulldogs, they are looking to continue their quest to be crowned the GCFFA Spring league Champions.
OFFENSIVE BREAKDOWN <> O-LINE Both teams are solid up front but I would have to give the edge to the gators because of their center Chris Weiner. He holds that front up with his leadership and dedication. Advantage - GATORS
<> TIGHTENDS This is pretty evenly matched if you are looking at the stats, but I will give the slight advantage to the Gators EJ Henderson as he hasn't produced as much as you would like out of your tightend this year but has consistently been there as a team leader and always a solid option when you need to keep an extra man in to give your QB some added protection. But don't get me wrong Jayson Lynch is also a great option for the Chargers at the tightend position. Advantage - GATORS
<> WIDE RECEIVERS Both squads have stacked receiving cores. Gators will line up with Kenny Tinney, Eric Green, Terry Smith, and Marc Genser at the wideout positions, who have all produced this year. Tinney having the most impact as he seems to be one of the front runners for the Newcomer of the Year award. Still putting up 8 receiving Touchdowns this year even though he had to take over the QB duties for a few games is pretty impressive. On the opposite side of the field the talent is just as deep. the receiving core is lead by the seasoned Veteran Carl "Shank" Bond who lines up along side Dialo Freeman, Pat Hussey and Chad Germe. Look out for the Chargers Pat Hussey though as he has performed very well under the radar for his first Season with the Chargers. Advantage - EVEN
<> QUARTERBACK
This is the position that I feel is going to be the difference in this Game. If the Gators go with the veteran Joey Edmonds they will have the advantage because he is just a better option at this point than the Chargers Dino Mancinelli or Troy Brown. But if the Gators decide to go with anyone else at the helm I would give the edge to the Chargers. Advantage - GATORS
<> D-LINE These are by far the top 2 D-lines in the league, Chargers line up Uyi Osunde and John Lee-Hugh on the line, which is a matchup no offensive line anywhere wants to see. The Gators dangerous front includes Tom Unger and Jimmy Benjamin. All four of these pass rushers can take over a game at anytime with their sack abilities. Look for both QB's to be heavily pressured and resort to quick routes and dump off passes. Advantage - EVEN
<> LINEBACKERS Riko Roberts and Josh Moore make up the Chargers linebacking core. Both are solid options to protect that second level. As for the Gators the absence of Cortez Johnson due to injury has opened up a whole in the middle of their otherwise solid Defense. Advantage - CHARGERS
<> DEFENSIVE BACKS Carl "Shank" Bond, Jaime Mendez, and Rich Kirkland make up a very talented secondary. Combining for 7 interceptions and 3 touchdowns between them during the regular season gives them a slight edge over the Gators who have Jay Green over the top and Kenny Tinney on the corner. Advantage - CHARGERS

| Yo I like this breakdown, having played both teams the Gators unger is a good player so is the dude with dreads, but uyi and John lee are hands down the two best d lineman in the league and the chargers when they bring both those dudes plus the other guy is hands down the best d line in this state. period.

| TROJANS vs KNIGHTS Way back in the pre-season meetings there was chatter and anticipation of these two teams being front runners for the Spring crown. The Knights were coming off of a Fall Championship and had rounded out their roster with more than a few marquee names. The Trojans were looking to defend their Spring 2010 title and brought back Jeff Norko and Bill Manion after they spent last year with the Chargers. The Knights have looked dominant of late and teh Trojans have somewhat limped into the semi-s due to injuries and low numbers but dont forget a full strength Trojans team gave the Knights their only blemish of the year...... OFFENSIVE BREAKDOWN
<> O-LINE
The Knights boast arguably the best OL in the league led by Lineman of the Year, Center Chris Moffo. The Trojans are solid but this could be their achilles heal in this matchup.....protecting Sam will be the biggest key to the game
Advantage - KNIGHTS
<> TIGHTENDS
Again the Knights feature a league leader at the TE position. Kelvin Riddle has put up very good numbers and has a stiff arm that rivals any. James Brown holds it down for the Trojans,, although he isnt a big threat, if ignored he will make you pay
Advantage - KNIGHTS
<> WIDE RECEIVERS
Both units are impressive and could light up the scoreboards from anywhere on the field at any time. The Knights crew of Steve Angilleta, Josh Withee, Rob Hernendez, Pito Gonzalez, Gary coles and Ryan Glasper have put up big numbers and are as good as it gets but word is Pito will not be available sunday which is a loss. On the other side you have CJ Buchannan, Boobie Gil, Jeff "sunshine" Norko and Delroy Morris......all of which will make you shake your head in amazement whenever they touch the ball
Advantage - TROJANS
<> QUARTERBACK
Although the numbers favor the Knights Esmail (31 total TD's) its hard to find a better, more experienced QB than Sam. When he has been on the field this year the Trojans offense has been close to unstoppable. The only concern I have here is his durability (elbow) and his ability to get out of trouble cause the pressure will be coming. For that I have to go with Big Ben, I mean Ish and his ability to keep the D honest with his legs
Advantage - KNIGHTS
<> D-LINE
Unlike the other semi matchup, neither team has a truely elite rusher, HOWEVER both bring the heat every play with a group of blue collar workhorses. For the Trojans, an appearnce by Chris Davey will go a long way in helping out sack artist Chris Pinto. The Knights need to get production from vets like Liseo, Big Son-E and Felix in order to slow down the Trojans.
Advantage - EVEN
<> LINEBACKERS
With Sunshine on the field the Knights and their TE may need to rethink their approach as Norko may have the best football instincts in the game......hes an everywhere man that always finds the ball. The Knights have a pretty good backer too......whats his name again? Oh yeah, Mr. Dan Patterson! He will bring the hammer every play and is no slouch in coverage either. These two are very different but equelly as lethal
Advantage - EVEN
<> DEFENSIVE BACKS
The Knights unit of Sean Aldieri, Angilleta(by the way its championship time, WILL ANG EVEN SHOW...LOL), Foye, Gotay and Glasper have led the leagues stingiest defense. They will have there hands full here and will need to get pressure up front to stay with the Trojans WR's. Boobie Gill, Delroy Morris and Paul Fietel anchor the Trojans secondary and have been tough all year. The x-factor may be Fietel, if he continues to play as well as he has all year they have a chance of slowing down the Knights and Esmail.
Advantage - EVEN
