| Is it inappropriate for an umpire to tell a player to "shut up and sit down" when he gets called out on strikes on a close pitch and mumbles on his way back to the dugout about the call? This happened in fed game with different chapter.

| Pat, This is why I was thrown out of a game last year against Greentree in Colt. An ump told me the same exact thing. I reacted in the way I had to. I addressed this to the league and suggested he not be allowed to ump CVBA games again. If its the same guy there is probably a report sent to you. It may be worth looking into.

| Without starting a big discussion, I'll answer like this
Youth game - no, I would not.
Adult game - If I felt it would help end an argument without having to throw someone out, yes.
This is my personal opinion, and not representative of anyone else.
