| With the end of the Park National League regular season nearing I thought it would be good to jump the gun a little and look at the potential playoff matchups.
Final Standings (predictions) Pub 13-3 Lakers 12-4 Patriots 11-5
Angels 10-6 Rocks 8-8 Rats 8-8 Cobras 7-9 Merchants 3-13 Blue Sox 0-16
The Pub and Patriots play tonight in a game that should be very entertaining. If the Pub wins...they lock the #1 seed in the Playoffs...their only remaining game is against the Blue Sox.
Patriots have 4 games remaining total and would need to win out and have a Lakers loss to take the top seed.
Lakers play an easy finishing schedule...2 games with the Merchants, and games with the Rats and Blue Sox. There could be a loss mixed in there if they fall asleep to the Rats or Merch.
Angels look to be bumped out of the top 3...which isnt that bad as it is almost a bye into the 2-3 anyways as they would be matched up against the Blue Sox in single elim.
Rocks and Rats play a makeup game TBD and it will shape their playoff seeds. The winner will likely be the #5 seed.
Cobras, Merchants, and Blue Sox are locked into their seeds 7,8,9 respectively.
This would mean single elim looks like this...
Angels v. Blue Sox Rocks/Rats v. Merchants Rocks/Rats v. Cobras
I will leave the best 2-3 speculation until the single elim is over...There could be some really good matchups.
That is all...

| Patriots beat the Pub 5-0 last night...
This could bring an interesting 3 way tie at the top of the Park National.
3 Way Tiebreakers would make the seeds as follows...
Here are the rules for 3 way ties...
• Three or more teams tied after regular season Seeding will be determined by: 1.) Regular season head to head to head winning percentage. 2.) Fewest runs allowed in head to head to head competition. 3.) Winning percentage versus the top 2 teams – if it is the top 2 teams –the league champ will be decided by winning pct. vs. teams 3 and 4 in the standings 4.) Runs allowed versus the top 2 teams – top 2 teams – same as above
All of the 3 top teams split their season series so...
Runs Allowed breaks down like this...
1) Pub - 14 2) Patriots - 16 3) Lakers - 24
Those would be the way things work out.

| However...
If the Lakers lose a remaining game...The patriots would take the #1 seed as they win the head to head tiebreak with the Pub.
If the Patriots lose a remaining game...The Pub takes the number 1 seed as they win the head to head tiebreak with the lakers.
If the Patriots and Lakers both lose a game, the Lakers win the tiebreak and are the #2 seed based of fewest runs allowed head to head.
