1ST ANNUAL CT FLAG SHOOTOUT
Flag football benefit event for the newly formed ECSU club football team


WHEN:
Saturday August 20 2011

WHERE:
Wilcox Technichal High School

WHAT:
the GCFFA is hosting a 9-man Ineligible flag football tournament to help raise money and interest for the newly formed ECSU Club Football team. All proceeds go directly to the team


FORMAT & NOTES:
THIS IS A 1-DAY EVENT: All teams are GUARANTEED 3 games, 2 games of pool play with the top seeds advancing to a PRO bracket and the bottom seeds advancing to an OPEN bracket.

POOL PLAY OPENING ROUND: Teams will be grouped in pools and play 2 games for seeding in the championship round. Win/Loss record and Point Differential will determine seeding.

*** All pool play games will be 20 min running clock with NFL stoppages in the 2nd half only.

SINGLE ELIMINATION CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND:
PRO: A pre-determined number of teams(based on total teams registered) will advance to the PRO Division and play in a single elimination bracket. The PRO Division will be playing for 75% of the total CASH Prize. .
OPEN: The remaining teams who do not qualify for the PRO will be placed in an OPEN Division single elimination bracket. The OPEN Division will be playing for 25% of the total CASH Prize.

*** All single elimination games will be 22 min running clock with NFL stoppages in the 2nd half only
*** MCFFU RULEBOOK
*** Each field will feature at least 1 certified official and at least 1 VOLUNTEER official.....please keep in mind this is a benefit event
*** Teams must be ready at there scheduled times or they will be forfeited


ENTRY FEES and REF FEES:
$200 per team
$25 per game Ref Fees for the single elimination round ONLY.

PRIZES:
$50 for every team rgistered will be placed in the CASH PRIZE POT. The PRO Division will take home 75% of the total Cash Prize and the OPEN Division will take home 25% total Cash prize

EXAMPLE:
12 teams
$600 Total CASH PRIZE POT
$450 PRO Division
$150 OPEN Division

NOTE: ECSU will be entering a team comprised of the Club team memebers. This team will be entering free of charge and will not be counted towards the prize fund
