| 1.) Please continue to send stats to covsoftball@hotmail.com. It is easier for me to have one email dedicated to stats. Any softball issues you can email me directly at imsmitty7@hotmail.com
2.) We are doing the bottom bracket playoffs again. Every team must attend the end of year/playoff/fall ball meeting on the MONDAY AFTER THE REGULAR SEASON ENDS AT 7:00 AT THE PNA.
3.) I will be calculating FALL BALL costs this week and I will post an update. Deposits of at least $100 are due at the Monday playoff meeting. - Fall Ball spots are open to summer teams first, then returning teams from the previous fall season, the open to new teams. There are only 16 spots available. Please start discussing your plans with your teams/teams from last year.
4.) During the last two weeks and playoffs, please remember: NO DRINKING AT FIELDS, NO SPEEDING THRU NEIGHBORHOODS, AND NO STREET PARKING AT FLAT RIVER.
5.) I received this today from our Parks and Rec. Director:
"Coventry Parks and Recreation

Re: Drinking in Public Parks and Dogs in Public Parks
Annually, I seem to circulate a notice about the inappropriateness of drinking in a public park setting. I guess this year is no exception. It has come to my attention that the possession and consumption of alcohol is still occurring in some of our park settings.
Although this does not apply to all, I want to remind everyone that this practice is against local park ordinance and state law.
Regular season scheduled use has and remains a concern in some venues but post season play is also an issue. Please be reminded the traveling teams participating in tournaments locally or in other communities are not exempt from these rules. Please remind all Division Directors and Tournament Organizers to be watchful of alcohol use on Town Property. I would hope that our residents would show the same respect when traveling elsewhere as they would expect from those who come to our tournaments in Coventry.
My second issue pertains to the ever increasing presence of dogs in public parks, ball fields, beaches and on our bike path. I know I have spoken to some of you in the past about this and I speak with our crews often as they regularly cover every square foot of our properties while mowing turf weekly. It is now more than a simple nuisance it actually is a health concern and clearly degrades the many fine facilities that we all enjoy in Coventry. As I prepare to introduce language for an amendment to our local park/town ordinance, I would like to hear from you or spoke persons from your league. Our ultimate goal would be to ban dogs from active playfields, Town beaches and the bike path.
I am also proposing that in places where dogs are allowed, that people be required to clean-up after their dogs and/or be prepared to show evidence that they are equipped with the means to clean-up after their dogs. Your input in this matter is important to the successful outcome of this growing problem."
IF ANY OF YOU TAXPAYERS WOULD LIKE ME TO RESPOND FOR YOU WITH ANY IDEAS, COMPLAINTS, ETC. ABOUT HIS DOG IDEAS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

| Gee Guy, Do U think people ought to pick up their dogs shit? He is clueless and what shape the fields are in, what is he smoking? All Coventry fields suck, as far as maintenance is concerned on and around the fields. Have your town workers take a little pride in their work!!!!! And I am a taxpayer in Coventry!!!!!!

| I hope the people who walk their dogs every single day at foster park got the same reminder to pick up their dogs shit. I have been witness to people walking their dogs there on many occasions, never have I seen them with a scooper or even a bag to pick up "pet waste"
