I was looking over the league leaders by team and I have found the reason why the Stallyns are 4-22. It is inevitable that a team drives in fewer runs that it scores- this is the nature of the game. Runs score on erros, double plays etc.. and nobody is awarded an RBI. The Stallyns, on the other hand, have driven in more runs than they have scored! You guys have driven in 168 runs and only scored 167. The only logical explanation for this is that you are driving in runs for your opponents. My team has scored 388 runs but only has 355 RBI. (91.5%) If you guys drove in your own runs at approximately the same rate that we did you should have about 153 RBI. This would mean that you have driven in 14 runs for your opponents. If you can correct this before the playoffs, I predict you to be the winners of the bottom 8.

Excellent analysis professor stevens. But, like girlfriends, wives , sisters and mothers...we generally employ a " dont go there " rule when it comes to SMACKIN the Stallions. Has does one have more runs driven in than runs scored? Perhaps scorekeeping magicians/wizards like Dionne can explain the complicated math.

On a serious note, I honestly screwed up somewhere but if you're gonna call us out, let's include some teams you forgot. Anger Management 331 runs/331 RBIs. Firefighters 117 runs/115 RBIs. Moulton 356 runs/355 RBIs. Jogues 298 runs/295 RBIs. Crowe Bar 432 runs/432 RBIs. Embrace 352 runs/350 RBIs. Roch's 154 runs/150 RBIs. Village Pub 311 runs/303 RBIs. I understand what you're saying, we shouldn't have as many RBI as runs scored, let alone more. I obviously screwed this up, I usually double check that this isn't ever the case but I must've missed one (reality check, I'm human). I only call out the teams that have a marginal difference because I'm curious if you take the Botelho average (which apparently should be the standard average), what should the other team's projected RBIs be? Let's be brutally honest here too, any team that has played us has scored runs off errors, so there's no way CM only scored one run on errors off us and etc. Thanks for opening the can of works, I admit that I have been giving my guys RBIs for fielder's choice, double plays and errors because I honestly thought those counted. I was told at one point that they should count because the batter should be rewarded for putting the ball in play versus a shallow pop-up or stike out (swinging, looking or foul with two strikes). I obviously have flawed logic but it would appear I'm not alone. This would be a great topic for the bylaws next year.

Dutilly, in his defense, he's currently probably scouring over our slugging percentage to ensure it's 100% accurate as well. Hell, I encourage it. Maybe he should be do the stats next year? I'm sure that he would've caught the one game I posted stats for where there were more RBIs than runs scored and we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

One thing that wasn't evident in the statistics is the inability of the Stallyns to take a joke. I think that it was pretty obvious that this was a lighthearted attempt at levity on an increasingly boring smack board. I was under the impression that the Stallyns were a group of fun guys that were not above being teased a bit. Maybe I was wrong...or maybe they are and you are the only one that isn't. Try to relax a little.

Catching while he was batting was torture. We has the Ted Williams eye and won't swing at anything. He swung at 1 pitch and then proceeded to toss the bat down in his running path and almost fell on his face.*

Do away with statistics all together. If they aren't accurate,as seen by the inflated numbers in batting average. How do the same people hitting at clegg barely reach .600? Then come to coventry and somehow approach the .800 mark. Its all b.s. for ego. Kill the stats and bring back the fun.

What happened to the guy that said "Try to relax a little." Jeez, two posts in a row telling me it was a joke. It would appear that you're more riled up than me. I did know it was intended as a joke, scroll up and look at my first response. See, I fired a joke right back. Problem is, when you make a statement like that on a public forum, I HAVE to respond in a serious manner. It's a joke to me, it's a joke to you, it's a joke to half the league but that doesn't mean that everyone that reads it will interpret it that way. I take cheating/stat padding very seriously, hell, people STILL bust Chip's balls about it. I certainly don't want to be associated with that. I'm not really worked up about it but the fact of the matter is, I felt obligated to squash this bug right now before it grew into a monster. I'm sure your intentions were satirical, problem is that would've been a great jumping point for someone else to run with.

I am done with everything Stallyn related! You guys have/had a great reputation as a fun bunch. Maybe you are the only one that sees the need to protect your team from teasing or maybe everyone was pissed. In closing, a few final statements since you obviously care more about this than me.
I can take a joke but I get defensive about stat padding accusations since I am completely in charge of all that. I am over it, now it's your turn to get over it.
You wanted some attention and now you have it, shouldn't that be mission accomplished and not "boo-hoo, they can't take a joke"?
You do not speak on behalf of everyone on this planet. Just because you can not imagine anyone running with that, doesn't mean that it would never happen.
If for some reason that EVER happened again next year or the year after, this would come up. To say that it wouldn't is a complete lie. People will dredge through the forums in a year or two, find this and may not have the same sense of humor that the rest of us do.

I just took a peek and last year 4 teams had more RBI than runs scored (ironically your team had 1 more RBI than R last year too) and nobody said a word. 3.
