| Good luck, to Dewey and his boys this weekend at Mankato, MN for the 2011 ASA 10 Man Modified National Tournament on Labor Day Weekend.
Braendel Softball will open play at 9:30 am Saturday vs Mean Green (from Hollywood, MN). Dewey will use D&B's message board to update their progress throughout the weekend. | Thanks Benes and everyone who supported us this weekend.
We went 6-2 this weekend and took 4th place out of 23 teams at the National Tournament. As you can imagine, some very very good teams. We represented Erie and the Harborcreek in fine fashion.
Secory Flyers (Michigan), Minnies Charters Hurricanes (Michigan), Press Box Bulldogs (Wisconsin), and Braendels (Erie) rounded out the top 4 and all got hardware.
Jason Bartlett and Shane Elzer were named 1st team All Americans while Ken Menale nad Tony Cruz were named 2nd team. Bartlett was insane, he went 14-for-19 in the tournament and at one point was 13-for-13. Elzer hit .670 and was on fire as well.
We scored 108 runs in 50 innings but stumbled in two of the games, losing 10-6 to Press Box and 7-5 to Hurricanes.
