Clarkston and Lake Orion have to be pretty happy about their 1st round matchups. Athens got a pretty tough draw with Romeo. Seaholm and North Famington have tough matchups as well.
Already getting pumped for Friday night ! Can't wait !!!

| Initial thoughts: North Farmington, Groves, Avondale, and probably Seaholm all get rolled. I would love to see North Farmington and Seaholm shock some people

| Bert,
Switch the word Groves with Lahser, and I agree completely.
I think Groves might give Southfield more of a game than most initially expect, but in the end, I think Southfield wins.

| I don't know anything about redford thurston but unfortunately for Lahser u might be right there. I think Southfield wins by 3 touchdowns personally Very tough matchups this year, and I don't want to be a pessimist but I don't have confidence in a lot of the matchups. Hopefully we can break .500 exclusing the inter OAA matchups

| Some competitive and NOT so competitive match ups for the OAA teams.
Staying to the interesting games:
Athens vs Romeo: This will be a close game that athens can win... I give a slight advantage to the Bull Dogs due to their tough defense. Athens late season victory over Southfield tells me Athens can win this!
Adams vs Oxford: Another close game ...advantage to Oxford due to ball possessing ground game...however Adams will be no slouch and if oxford has turnovers the Highlanders can capitalize and win this!
Lake Orion vs Walled Lake Central ... this is a very interesting game. If LO can stop the viking ground game -LO wins. If Lo does NOT stop the run they loose...tht simple!
More to come!!!!

| I think clarkston and Lake orion is goin to have a tough time with both of the teams they are playing in the first round. clarkston has to worry the rushing attack that pontiac has. i saw the game in week 5 when clarkston won 40-18 and since then pontiac has improved a whole lot. putting up 50 points every game since week 5. I dont know i see and upset in the first round pontiac 35 clarkston 17

| I started looking at the Pontiac offense that was putting up some points. Then, I looked at the competition.
Royal Oak (1-8) Troy (3-6) Farmington (5-4) West Bloomfield (2-7, but Clarkston beat them so 1-8) Overall 9-27.
It's like beating your 5 year old brother in checkers 10 times in a row. It is really that impressive?

| OK ..... Here Goes!!!
I think Farmington gives Henry Ford a run for their money. I can't believe I said that but we we will see!!
I think Avondale gives East lapeer a real struggle. Blue getting no luv in the playoffs so I though I would throw this out.
Lake Orion and WLC is a toss up ..Ill go with the OAA and pik LO....however if the vikings can run on LO they will win ball possession and the game!
Adams and Oxford a toss up ... If Adams is healthy and gets a few breaks they can spring the upset....but that will be tough in Smurf valley ...logic says Oxford ...Heart says Adams
Romeo and Athens a toss up....Romeo plays in a tougher conference (top to bottom) has the better D. Athens has come together beat a good Southfield team...Ill go with Athens squeaking by!

| Pontiac also gave up 40 points to W. Bloomfield. With that defense Clarkston could score 60 on them and I guarantee they won't rush for 500 yds again.
Why are we even having this discussion?

| Also in week 5 that I forgot to mention is that pontiac had 250 yards rushing in the first half vs clarkston to they 67 yards. But due to pontiac turnovers clarkston was able to bulit a big lead early. That's not gone happen agin.. rushing the ball controls the game

| I would never want you to confuse facts with the truth. But, if Pontaic had 250 yards rushing in the first half, then they must have lost 150 yards in the 2nd half.
Cargle was the leading rusher and only had 103 yards for the game. Clarkston was leading 28-6 at the half.
Pontiac then scored two TD's in the 4th quarter way after the game was in hand. One was a fumble return. You must be confusing the game with another team.
