You know I think this one stings more because this year was supposed to be The Rams' year with Brownstown moving up to 3A and the way that the other teams in the sectional seasons came to be it should've been a walk through to a regional date with Mater Dei...but that wasn't the case and the Rams lost to a solid Triton Central team I go back to what I said earlier this season and what i've been sayin off and on the past few seasons "The Rams should be passing 20 times a game to get a passing game going" I mean when you go one game passing 5 times to the next game passing 15 times theres no consistency in the passing game so when you try and establish somethin in the passing game theres no timing ot rhythym and that's what Triton Central had with their passing game I hate when we beat a team like Crawford 75-7 and you know you have the chances to score that many times and The Rams ran somethin they were good at and never thought out of the box preparing for sectional like The Evansville North game everyone knew The Rams would lose but I felt like The Rams gave up early when you had Wilson doin QB option keeper after option keeper just to in my opinion keep the clock running to make the score look better The Rams have reached the point to where they are getting known asbeing a solid program but they don't wanna be the team that goes to 100 sectional finals and come away with 1 championship within those 100 tries...maybe next year will be different as I have heard some rumors that The Rams may explore more of a passing oriented offense which should be interesting...Anyway I'm ready for basketball season

To all the Rams players, thanks for another great winning season. Who would have thought just a few years ago we would be where we are today. There are alot of teams that would ike to have the record we had this year.

Shiz, you made some nice comments. When our season started I made the comment that we couldnt start to institute a passing game the last few games of the years. I caught alot of grief over that but it turned out to be true. However, thinking about it, and looking at the abilities and talent we have on our team, we first need to have the talent to be able to pass. I believe the coaching staff will be working on improving this part of our game.

Just to tell everyone know, I received word from my physician that I will be starting chemotherapy next week in Indy. I wont be commenting anymore this season and I wish everyone the best as basketball is fast approaching. I'm hoping to be back this season. God Bless to All.

We had the talent to pass, it was not developed

I agree we had the talent but it just wasn't used how many players we could've used but never did I just don't understand why not develop a passing game?....9-3 and nothing to show for it kinda makes you look bad if you are trying to establish a program like Brownstown,Perry, Southridge or Mater Dei

OK, the season is over so it's time to call it like it is. I love our football program and am thrilled to death to once again be competitive. However, unless someone changes their way of thinking we will never be more than what we have been recently. I understand that MOST programs would trade us places in a heartbeat but it sickens me to know what could have been. I guarantee you that if the Triton Central coach had our team and used different formation like they did and totally mix up the play calling like they did we would have beaten them rather easily. WE WERE MORE TALENTED THAN THEM. I will not criticize any of our players on here but coaches are getting paid to do a job so as far as i'm concerned, they are fair game. It's just ridiculous that we are so predictible. When you hear the defense hollering where the ball is going before the snap, you have a serious problem. Something needs to change or we will continue to loose to talented teams that we should beat. I apologize for being negative but I just could not hold back anymore. That 2 minute drill we ran late should be ran at least every other possession. Very disappointed in our coaching staff. The kids played very hard all year. Congrats to all of them.

I forgot 1 thing. Do we get extra credit for taking timeouts into halftime with us??? What in the heck was that about? Totally uncalled for by the coaching staff. Many fans were very unhappy about that flub up. Our coaching staff is exceptional at motivating kids and getting them to play hard, I must give them credit for that. I only hope that there offensive gameplan get an overhaul. When they 1st started here it was a limited playbook, since then it has became even smaller. Not gonna cut it against good teams.

Realistic Fan: Couldn't agree with you more when by gosh your offensive playbook is as simple as a 5th grade flag football team's playbook somethin has to change....have anymore words of wisdom for the coaching staff?

The pistol formation worked. I bet it was only minimally run in practice and with only a few plays. I hope the coaches saw it's potential as you can do tons more out of it than the flexbone. I think we could have put up some stupid offensive stats with it considering the offensive players we had. We'll see what happens.

Shizz i really don't. I'm not a coach nor do I know how to coach. I just know that 99.9% of our plays are going up the middle or to the side the motion man is going to. THATS NOT HARD TO DEFEND WITH ATHLETES! We need different formations to at least give the defense something to think about. There is a reason NLF and college teams use multiple formations. It's because they are pretty much evenly matched and they know they can't be predictibe. It's not rocket science. I'm so ready for basketball season.

One last thing before everyone gets into Basketball. Does anyone feel Coach B needs to change his defensive strategy? Except for a few notable games (WW) some fairly weak offenses moved the ball on us better than they should have. This really showed itself during the sectional. Thoughts?

Well i don't think there's much he can do with the defense that's goin to improve anything if you look at him running a 3-4 one of the things it's dependent on is a good nose man who can disrupt the line so other can fly to the football (Warren Sapp or Ndomukong Suh) or you can have a Pittsburgh Steelers 3-4 "Blitzburgh" package but then again you would have to have a guy like Troy Polamalu at safety to reek havoc could he go the Pittsburgh way yeah but then again where are you going to find the guy in the middle of the line to help others? I don't think it's the package that's the problem it's on the fly defensive or offensive changes that kills The Rams in the playoffs....

One last thing about the offense you see The Denver Broncos change their whole offense so it can fit the best way to help the Quarterback (Tim Tebow)or team win the game they did that in what a week or 2 but The Rams could never do that and they had all season to do somethin similar and never did? makes you wonder
