| As I read the DC Ely League message board from time to time, I am always amazed, shocked, and appalled at the ungratefulness that is directed at George Coleman. George has taken a great and talented group of women and given them a great league, which has now produced a USFTL Women's National Champion and a forum to express themselve freely. I understand that freely means that you have the right to say what you very well please, but I can remember just five years ago, when all of the women's flag football in the area was played in PG County Recreation League and in Northern Virginia. In Northern Virginia, this guy Marvin charged every team $700 dollars and you got nothing. One team trophy, team player trophies and sometimes just T-shirts. Not to mention that the referees were the worst and Marvin was never as available or flexible as George Coleman. George now with the help of numerous other coaches and the very gifted and talented women has produced the greatest show on Sunday mornings in the country. A testament to that just occurred in Cleveland, where the DC Ely League women represented. So when I see the accusations and demands that are being made toward George Coleman, I wonder do we really remember yesterday and what you got in Virginia with Marvin. With George, don't hate, appreciate, celebrate, continue to participate and don't hesitate to remember your past and understand that these are just the humble beginnings of more greatest to come. Thank you George Coleman and all the people who help bring this league for the infancy of last fall's openning season to the second fall season of success. George you are the best!!!

| Very well put old school! Tho the league is still fairly new it is by far the best league in the country and definitely the spot to be on Sundays nowadays. The women have NEVER received so much fan fair and the women's league has never been more competetive than it is today. Maybe we could all focus on making our league better and seeing what we can do to help make it the league we want it to be. The value for what we get is unmatched (wonderful field, awards, recognition, cash prizes, all star game, etc). Thanks old school for starting a postivie topic and thanks Coleman for continuing to be an advocate for flag football! Lastly congrats to all of the all stars for the fall season. It was a great way to end a wonderful season and a pleasure working with all of the talented women and coaches this past Sunday. Have a wonderful holiday season folks and hope to see everyone in Florida!
