CHARGERS 12 RAIDERS 0
For the 2nd straight week the Raiders have shown that defensively they can hold down anyone in the league........offense is another story. The Raiders intercepted Chargers backup QB Shank Bond twice and also got 2 sacks from veteran Miguel Aponte but couldn't get anything going on O in the loss. Bond shook off a poor 1st half, throwing TD passes to Rick Kirkland and TE Uyi Osunde to seal the victory. Osunde (10 flags)and S Pat Hussey (1 Int) led the stingy Charger defense. Mike Flaherty and Darnell Simpson had interceptions for the Raiders
PLAYER OF THE GAME...... Uyi Osunde (Chargers)
KNIGHTS 26 BRONCOS 14
In a game the prognosticators thought was going to be a rout, the young Broncos gave the Knights quite the fight. After the Knights jumped out to a 12-0 lead behind long TD passeds from Kelvin Riddle to Rob Hernendez and Jon Esmail, the Broncos got an INT for a TD from CB#5 to pull within 5. Another long TD pass to Sean Aldieri and a jump ball TD to Hernendez put the Knights up 3 scores but the Broncos again showed signs of improvement and scored again on a long fade to Matt Mccaully. The Broncos defense did have 3 interceptions and and 2 sacks against one of the leagues top offenses. The Knights got sacks from Dan Patterson, Anthony Kaponis and Felix Rodriguez

WEAPON X 22 HAWKS 6
The Hawks were fortunate enough to see Weapon X without the Rocket on the field but size and strength of Weapon X was to much for the speedy Hawks. TE Aaron Goldberg took a pitch from Todd Hill and dragged a defender into the endzone and later got a huge block from Hill to lead him down field for another score to put the game out of reach. Hawks CB Chris had 2 interceptions and WR Moss caught their only score on a deep slant.
PLAYER OF THE GAME...... Aaron Goldberg (Weapon X)
2nd STRING 47 COWBOYS 27
2nd String looked like 1st place contenders in their Middletown debut. QB Brian Gelsomino was deadly through the air and ran by defenders at will as the newcomers hung 47 points on the reeling Cowboys. The 2nd string defense had 4 interceptions, returning 2 for TD's during a stretch of 3 minutes were they scored 4 TD's. The Cowboys battled to the end and got major contributions from defensive end Josh (3 sacks)m in the loss. Jose Rosario threw for 3 TD's in the game
