| I cant wait for the day when my team can move up. Scottos and the Hot dog boys both rolled the regular season. I think they were like 22-2 each in the National. Jo-Jo s got hot and HDB lost great players to injuries and both get to stay down. Both would be top 5 teams in the Independent.i mean JO-JOs was good and all but them go up and keep both these teams down is.......Unfair!

| Ok, I just heard the American will be.
Bills Olde Tavern
Villa Mannino
NMR
La Piazza (Moved Up)
Hooters (Moved Up, merged with some G-Rice Guys)
Team out of PA (Think its Morrisville Tavern)
G-Rice and Diesel gone.
6 Teams in total, and one night a week double headers either Monday or Wednesday.
Why not some more, lets make this exciting alot of talk but only a few actually did it.

| When you win the entire regular season or playoffs do you win money or free entry? Like does it matter where teams really play for the teams(young guys normally) that get smashed suck it up and stick through the rough games cause in a few years you'll be the better team and doing the same thing....
and totally agree about drinking soda... if you can't handle a Loss or your beer please bring soda and dont ruin it for the rest of the league cause ur a light weight

| i dont wanna hear anythign about any team from the national league last year. all those teams are punks and are garabge and wont do anything. i dont care abotu the two teams that moved up. time for a reality check hot doggers.
and i also thought the reg. season winners and playoff champs had to move up but for some reason that doesnt appear to be the case. what gives?

| Well since the last post the American has changed, the Final Count is (5) Teams.
-Bills
-Villa Mannino
-La Piazza
-Lights Out, which is G-Rice and Hooters merge
-33 Barber Shop, which is the old NMR
So I guess your right teams are not stepping up with the exception of Hooters and La Piazza. Maybe next year with the league going to double headers it will attract more teams. Hopefully also sometime this year the American will go to "single walls" where 3 or 4 bats will be placed behind home plate and everybody uses the same bats putting the arguments to bed about who's hitting what. I feel and alot of others feel if Andy was to do that he would attract more teams to the American which back in the day was the league everyone wanted to play in. If Andy was to charge (50) bucks extra a team in league fee in the beginning of the year he would be able to buy "league specific bats" and have them palced behind home plate for every game, I think this would attract more teams to the league. And I feel if anyone was to do that it would be Andy, he has done nothing but good things for the Mercer League since he has taken over and this might be the ticket to bring in alot of talent.

| Why did you call out the hot doggers? they moved up and are not playing in the national league and 15 runned Red Star in their debut. I don't play for them but they wanted better competition and moved up to play in the independent.
Kudos to A-1 trophies(GNR) who moved to continental along with Brewsters.
Leagues seem to have a little more parity(not perfect but closer)
Interesting take on the American as well

| agree that its not fair to blast russ ayers. no need for it and to be honest it sounds more like a personal grudge. they are a nice young ambitious group that probably would have had no problem moving up two leagues if they were asked to. The better the league you play in the better your team gets out of necessity. That's how it works and I think the boys on Russ ayers understand this. Good luck to all teams this year.

| having seen some of that game vs red star, any team can hit the middle like the hot dogs did. note sure why red star didnt return the favor, but i think hot dogs may bein for a rude awakening if they continue that way

| The Hot Dog Boys went down Thursday and whoever thinks there a solid team is crazy...the team is carried by their Left Fielder and their left center fielder who hit 3 and 4.
