2ND STRING 35
WEAPON X 6

To say that Weapon X was light would be a gross understatement. Playing with only 8 players Weapon X fell from the undefeated ranks after 2nd String put it on them. The outcome was never really in doubt as 2nd String scored 2 defensive TD's on consecutive interceptions to jump out 19-0. QB and MVP candidate Brian Gelsomino added 2 rushing scores and 1 more through the air in the rout.

KNIGHTS 24
HAWKS 18

This game had a playoff feel to it from the get go with both teams coming out with a lot of energy and chatter. The Hawks got on the board first going up 6-0 but the Knights countered with a deep bomb from Kelvin Riddle to Rob Hernendez (who beat a double team) for a score and conversion to go up 7-6 at the half. The Knights appeared ready to break the game open in the 2nd half when Riddle rushed for a TD and LB Dan Patterson sacked Hawks QB Dave Godek in the endzone for a safety and a 16-6 lead but the young and scrappy Hawks werent giving up that easy. Godek then found Stevie Dunbar for a TD and closed the game to 16-12. The veteran Riddle then worked the clock and used his legs to bully his way into the endzone and again found Hernendez for the 2pt conversion and a 12 point lead. Again the Hawks rallied and Godek to Dunbar resulted in another score but this proved to be to little to late as the Hawks couldnt keep the Knights from getting a first down and running out the clock

RAIDERS 6
COWBOYS 0 (FFT)

The Cowboys forfeit and are removed from the league.......the Raiders now must win and get help to avoid being the lone team to miss the playoffs


CHARGERS 20
BRONCOS 14

The Broncos needed a statement win and the Chargers needed a win period after 2 straight tough losses. Newly RE-AQUIRED QB Mike Colavito guided a make shift receiving core down the field, throwing 3 TD passes and the Chargers used a 3 man defensive front to stymie the Broncos offense as the Chargers jumped out on top 20-2 mid way through the 2nd half. The Broncos showed promise by staying together and scoring on their last 2 possessions to make the game close. Defensively for the Broncos, DE Steve Kelly continues to impress as he added a safety and constant pressure
