| Week 1 was a surprisingly good week. We saw some good football. Here are my updated rankings.
10. Bristol Chiefs- Lost 2 games Sunday. Were destroyed in the first game against a good Canes team and played better vs the solid Broncos team. Their biggest weakness was their line play. They didnt look prepared at all. They need to come up with a gameplan to get the ball to their athletes and stick with it. There is enough talent for this team to be competitive but some adjustments definitely must be made.
9. Brass City Horse- Lost to the Steelers. They competed hard against the Steelers. The lack of weapons at the skill positions is what holds them back, they are solid on both lines but at some point you have to make a play downfield. This is not a bad team. They are capable of beating some of the teams above them.
8.CT Broncos- Beat Chiefs. Their defense dominated on Sunday and scored twice. Their rookie qb played a solid game but there is definitely room for improvement. The defense will keep them most games but to get over the hump the offense is going to have to do their part.
7.Tig ole Bitties- Lost to warriors. I believe this is a good team but judging by their play Sunday and in the tournament a few weeks ago I have to rank them here. The offense looks alittle off and they are not generating much of a pass rush on defense. They are capable of turning things around.
6.Bristol Spartans- Lost to Chargers. The surprise team of the weekend. Gave an undermanned Chargers team all they could handle. Mr. Cushon outdid himself with the recruiting he did in the off season. They have a talented team with depth on both sides of the ball. They will be a tough team to beat and will only get better the more theyplay together.
5.Waterbury Hawks- Lost to Canes. Played a good game yesterday. The qb moved around, bought time and made some big plays to Stevie Dunbar. This is a dangerous team. If another receiver can step up and they can add a pass rusher they could compete for a championship. Also better play from the O-Line wouldn't hurt. They get the edge over the Spartans because of Godek.
4.Southside Canes- Won 2 games. Beat Chiefs and Hawks. Moe Ramos keeps getting better and Reggie Hunter made big plays on both sides of the ball. They could be a problem if their O-Line plays the way they played yesterday. one negative I noticed was that their D-Line was getting good pressure but repeatedly lost contain in both games. But they are trending up.
3.Southington Warriors- Beat Tig Ole Bitties. Played their usual solid game and made some big plays down the field. Moose played well at qb and their secondary played well. The Warriors are a disciplined team who doesn't beat themselves but also has talent. Look forward to when they play the Canes.
2. New Haven Chargers- Beat Spartans. Despite being shorthanded found a way to get a win against a vastly improved Spartans team. Wouldn't expect anything less, the top teams find a way to get those wins. Mike led them on a late drive and completed the game winner to Diallo (welcome back). Hard to grade the chargers with so many people missing but they will be loaded and ready when the big games come.
1. Hartford Steelers- Beat Brass City Horse. Struggled early before turning it on and running away from Brass City Horse. The offense was led by the electrifying Rocket's passing and running as well as Anrae making plays in the passing game. The defense was dominant as usual. The Steelers are the favorites and did nothing Sunday to change that. The addition of Jamal at Cb definitely bolsters the secondary.

| funny chargers in 2nd place after a struggling win over the spatans..team with most wins should b #1 steelers def #1 until an upset happen..jus like the chargers were short also was the canes d-line and other positios..writer get da facts str8 and stop puttin some of those has beens on da web everyweek..big ups to da hawks theres plenty of players that not mentioned thats big time players

| if u ask me AFTER WEEK 1..1ST STEELERS,2ND CANES,3RD CHARGERS,4TH BRONCOS,5TH WARRIORS ect..what makes the chargers get put in front of broncos,warriors,or canes?? with the same or less wins?

| Hey Bill since you think a charger wrote that why dont you tell me who was the runner up last spring? who was the undefeated champs last fall and who just won the indoor league? Yeah we were light and just got by but thats what good teams do when they arent at full strength, they find a way to win. Im not saying were the best team here but the rankings look pretty accurate. Your obviously a Cane so why hide your name if your so confident. You canes are my boys for real but your 0 for eternity vs us. Either make your bones on the field or state your name playboy

| The writer actually KNOWS flag football cause the Chargers have slapped the shit out of all the teams you mentioned so why if the chargers havent lost and he had them ranked number 2 in the preseason pole would he drop them down? Do you watch college football before? Dont be salty its just one mans opinion

| Fair enough Yates but just curious......who are you afraid of come playoff time? This isnt super mario bros and we get a magic mushroom, play 3 games and your eligible is the rule for us just like everyone else. | They were not acting bad against the assassin team . Team assassin were puting up 2k this pass weekend an killa hill said no I know I was there to check these to team out an by the was things went killa hill took off as team assassin show up saying something about a miss understanding on the time .team killa villas had squad out there an they did practice but there disorganize now as team assassins practice after them now those boys were ready no what there were doing they would of beat killa hill by three touch downs I c why they didn't play them for that money .
