| Can anyone tell me why are teams given 17points...?
The Team never even played(showed up) a single game, correct? Did they even pay a league fee?
Is this a "slick" way to boost scores?
I dunno. I'm just wondering...
What the rationale is behind the move?
Don't points earned during the season,factor into National Rankins?
Please do share your thoughts. I am interested to know what folks think/know about it.
Who are the "winners"? Who are the "losers"?

| Is this top secret information or what? It's hard to believe no one has the answer. Don't we deserve to know? I wonder what other jurisdictions have done,faced with similar circumstances... Can anyone identify the person(s) who make such decisions(who has the answer)?

| It only matters in the east only 2 teams get a win and 17 points which could wind up knocking somebody out of playoffs

| Well, it appears that most don't have the answer to why it was decided that teams get the 17points.
That remains a question. I'd like the answer to.
If it's such a "dumb" question, then why doesn't anyone have the answer???

| The 17 points is a USFTL forfeit. It's standard to prevent a team from forfeiting to avoid getting points scored on them. It's also the point where the Mercy Rule could come into play during a game.

| True if 17 points knock you out of the playoffs you don't deserve to get in however those 17 points and the win could give a team a better seed or even the regular season championship on the east side

| If all teams on the East get one win and 17 points based on the forfeit, it levels the playing field. No advantage gained for any team. I assume each team on the East would have Vixen on their schedule. Its just a formality

| I see what you're saying. Hmm I can only assume it's following the USFTL rule and must be applied to all teams no matter what division. Cant have the West teams get 17 points and a win and not the 2 East teams. Just the luck of a blind draw

| For the people that truly want to know why the 17 point question appears to have a secret answer.......well it's not a secret. Week 1 featured Lady Allmet vs the DC Vixen (who were in the league at that time). The Vixen forfeited, which gave Lady Allmet the 17 point victory. Later the following week the Vixen dropped out the league. Now, Lady Allmets victory (and 17 points) could not be taken away, thus giving me the best possible solution to this problem, which was to give each team already scheduled to play the Vixen a 17 point forfeit win. I'm certain all you no-name critics will have some other solution that you feel could have addressed this isse differently, but this is it and if you really want me to address your critical questions sooner, simply I.D. yourself because I do like knowing with whom I am conversing. Mystery people can't get mad if their questions don't get addressed ASAP. Hope this clears things up, but if not, I'll see you Sunday for further clarification.

| Thanks for "answers". It makes sense,now! I'd rather remain nameless and I appreciate the option to be... Don't get why it matters who it is or why it would expedite the response.(esp if there is no disrespect). There is a lot of immaturity on this board. I appreciate the feedback.

| I truly like knowing who I'm addressing because a lot of people have great ideas and concepts that I would like to elaborate on with them further. Of course it's not mandatory to I.D. yourself on our board but it will definitely let everyone know who the people are that want to see our league/area grow in the right direction.
