| I feel players should be loyal to there team first before deciding to play on another team in a tourny, with that being said it was so obvious that the Hawks missed Dunbar out there and games lost that could've been won will hurt when it's time to do the seeding for the playoffs. The Canes had a bye so Ced can do what he wants and i know if the Canes had a game he would've been there and not the tourny but I wonder if they were given a bye just so Ced could play.

| I am gonna love where this goes. Okay waterbry player and no name here you have it. We went 1-3 for the weekend beating the Gators and losing to Omni in the quaterfinals. I am sorry that Dunbar missing equals a loss. He asked can he rock with us in the tourney and of course we said yes. He made the CHOICE to not play on Sunday. We had guys who couldn't play and he fit right in. Cedric always plays with us in tournies when he is available. The same invitation goes out to Justin,Moe,Abby,Terry,Reggie,Tim who have all played with us. Thats what you do when you have people missing. As far as the schedule is concerned, the tourney schedule has been up since March. Everyone knows we play in tournies so the schedule is worked around that. Which makes it harder for us because we have to play double headers. This option is open for everyone. Its crazy you can say those bitches and not put a name up hmmmmmmmmmmm........

We are all GROWN ASS MEN OUT HERE(at least most of us...starting to question Mr. No Name). People choose to do want they want. Peyton was a poor example. Manning is the only QB to take a snap for 14 years for the Colts. No other QB knows how to run that offense like him. Packers cut Farve what happened?? The Texans lost 2 Qb's what happened??? When the Giants lost their running backs what happened??? When Brady got hurt what happened???? Better yet when Bledsoe got hurt what happened??? You don't want to do this with me no name. There should be more than one key player on a team. I know key players hurt but DAMN!!! We have a lot of key players missing every week. We only had 10 players against the Spartans and found a way to win so don't give me that.

| Shank I do agree with one player shouldn't make a team but if u seen the Hawks play sunday u would've seen how much Dunbar matters. As far as invitations going out to other players there's absolutely nothing wrong with that but what I'm saying is the loyalty should goto there team first. Knowing all those other players u named I do believe there very loyal to there team over playing in a tourny.

| Based on the last few posts I think this topic worked itself out. So far this year we have had the scores, stats, pictures and recaps up by mid week every week. This past weekend I had to help run a national tournament so I will be a day or two behind on a few details but working to get it all done now.
Sorry for the delay.
As far as tournaments, the league and the Chargers I give the same opportunities to all teams (ask the Steelers) I encourage participation for teams I feel can compete, always have, and I always make it clear in preseason meetings that I will not punish teams who wish to challenge themselves but accommodate them within reason.
If you have ever played tournament ball before you know that EVERY team adds a few players in order to travel. Sometimes to improve positions but usually just because a regular player cant make it. Like Shank said, Cedric has been doing tournaments with us for a few years now and the reason the Canes had a bye was actually a result of the Broncos needing a last minute bye the previous week, It was the easiest way to help them out and effect the least amount of teams and have the least amount time changes from the schedule. Also Dunbar ASKED to play with us prior to the Waterbury tournament and hes been a welcome addition. What you will find is the top-tier players in this league and any other love the league play but salivate at the chance to play the best of the best on the national circuit...........its a whole nother ball game out there. I cant find a guy on our current team that we STOLE from any team or a team present or past that we forced to crumble. Fact is I lost out on several great players because I refused to let them play for us in league play because it would kill their team.
At the end of the day its all about competition whether its in league play or tournaments, so play ball and have fun and dont get sucked into the internet soap opera.

Pay your money and sign up for a tourney better yet take your team to Virginia Beach and your guys wouldn't ask to play for us at the national level. I've been doing this for years and always been loyal to the Chargers but if I was young and wanted to challenge myself with the best I would def travel. | CD without a doubt I always keep my team going but this past fall was so much easier since i only had to worry about my team. Add in all the talented players I have turned down because I felt it would be bad for the league. Thats not who I am but if i didnt think about the league first and was just another team owner I would put 100x more into the Chargers. This fall was evidence of that. The point is that I never abuse the league for my teams benefit, if anything just the opposite.........but if things were to be different and i werent the commish you would get 1000% Chargers all day every day so be careful what yall wish for

As far as my statement about Ced, I wrote it so I meant it but if I'm wrong so be it and Chris cleared that up when he wrote his post as to why the Canes had a bye.
As far as me having my team with some gunz on it guess what it's still my team so again you still don't know what your talking about and whatever happened with that merger is between Justin and I and guess what things are still all good between us and he will tell u on the field and financially when I was part of that team I put alot into it. | The Chargers beat the Canes 20-13 in the championship game. The team they had was a championship team. They also beat the Trojans in the regular season. Nobody can say the Trojans are not 1 of the top teams in CT. The Gators were rebuilding and most of the other teams were pretty bad or new to the game. But you still have to win. Maybe we could have won if Dunbar showed up. Lol.
The other thing is it takes alot to run a league. Its stressful enough running a team. I know Chris puts alot into it and he has never done the Canes dirty . Maybe if the players got more involved on the message board it would give the league alittle more life.
As for the hartford league, from what I know of him the commissioner seems like a cool dude who takes his league pretty seriously and keeps that website popping. I dont really know the man so I can only go off what I know. Would be nice if they could work something out? Just responding cause my name was brought into it. Now I will go back to focusing on getting the Southside canes a championship.
Also shoutout to Carlton and the Broncos, he helped the Canes out alot with putting it all together and now they have a solid team that is getting better every week.

| I put the same energy into the league as I do tournaments and events if not more. But like I said earlier I am not perfect and welcome constructive criticism. What is it specifically that the league is lacking or that needs improvement? I had a commitment for one weekend out of our 12 week season and will be caught up on the league within a day or so of normal. We have stats, write-ups, pow's, a facebook page with thousands of pictures, I hired a videographor who started week 2 and will be there as often as possible.

| For the record the Knights did not receive a free bid for winning last spring. They won $1500 Cash and a $250 league credit which I was told they intend to use on the summer tournament.
The Bulldogs are in hartford because it is logistically best for them, its a 45 min ride as opposed to a hour and a half ride. Of all the teams in the state I probably have a better relationship with the Bulldogs then any team out there
The NEW Gators and Trojans are almost entirely made up of Bridgeport players and it makes perfect sense to play close to where your players live
18 months ago flag football in Waterbury was on life support........the same way Hartford was 5 years ago when Marvin, Paul and Myself (later Ray and I) completely turned it around and it had 23 teams the last spring league I operated their before my career took me to Florida. Now Waterbury has double digit teams for the first time, with more competition than the city has seen in 10 years and your still flapping your gums. Come on bro.......be a part of the answer not the problem

| Idk if mase is the worse one, the thing with mase is it all depends on how u approach him bc I use to feel he was bad also until I got to know him. Also to his defense about the cellphone bc he was on it at the coin flip of my game is house alarm went off and they were calling him about it and he was trying to find someone to check on his house but I do agree that the refs could be better.

3. As I stated in my post.....Myself, Marvin and Paul fietel brought 9-man back to Hartford in the Fall of 2007. THEY WERE 2 BULLSHIT 8-MAN ELIGIBLE LEAGUES AT THE TIME. We had 7 teams that first season Steelers, Ravens, Young Gunz, Smoking Aces, Hurricanes, Knights and a Team that wore black i cant recall their name. At that point Ray Long and i came together and teh Spring of 2008 we had 16 teams between the North and South divisions at Keeny Park. The Young Gunz beat the Steelers to win the South, Team Signature beat Shaolin to win the North and the Gunz won the superbowl. Fast forward to Spring of 2009 (My last year in Hartford with Ray Long) We had 23 teams (finished with 21 as two teams dropped mid season) The teams were.....

| I'm a little new to the league so I don't know how far my word goes here but I think Chris is doing a fine job. Managing the teams, schedule, pictures, stats, referees, and all of the other shit that comes with the territory has to be time consuming. If it came to a vote, he would have mine.
In regards to the tournament...I look at it like this...you have teams like us the Broncos that are trying to step up our game and compete in the GFCCA at a high level. When we do get there which I consider to be inevitable...we'll also want to compete out in tournaments against out of state teams and if we can get players to play for us, more power to us.
To me, its a non issue. Dunbar is a hawk. Ced is a Cane. If they want to team up to rep our state, why not?!

But yeah fall 2009 i said to ray this product isnt good for the players and teams for what they pay so i offered him to sell it to me... Or i would be starting my own league.
