| My Batters Box Sluggers Tryouts
July 7th and 14th
Tryouts are for ages 7U(Coach Pitch) 9UAA, 10UAA, 11UAA, 12UAAA
Ages 7, 9 & 10 will be held 8am – 10am
Ages 11 & 12 will be held 10:30am – 12:30pm
Will be held at My Batters Box and Main Street Park
We are looking to put together competitive Select teams and play in both tournaments and/or league for fall 2012.
Each player will be graded upon their tryout performance and a decision will be made 1-3 days after the tryout is completed. We will send an individual e-mail to each parent/player to let them know if they have made the team. Player’s should arrive for tryouts 30 minutes early to allow time to warm-up and for stretching.
The following will be observed during tryouts:
• Sportsmanship
• Hustle / Effort
• Are you coach-able
• Enthusiasm
• Athletic Ability
• Concentration / Game Awareness
Practices will be held 2-3 days a week, depending on tournament and game schedules. Each player will be expected to be present at all practices, games, and team functions unless prior notice is given to the head coach. We plan to play at least 4 tournaments for the fall season which starts August – Early December.
Our goal is to develop players and teach proper physical and mental baseball fundamentals to prepare them for competitive play. These are our primary goals as we prepare them for high school and will be our main objective no matter the outcome of a baseball game.
