| Red- Clarkston- They return so many defensive powerhouses and offensive threats look for them to run the table again. (9-0) Lake Orion- They're reloading their talent on offense with the loss of Charette and a couple receivers with some even better skilled position players... (7-2) Pontiac- For some reason we always seem to give Pontiac the short end of the stick... Like i said, these are pretty bold... Pontiac shocks people again, even with new coach Damion Redmon at the Helm... (6-3)
Troy Athens- Just 10 yards short of a district final game... Athens reloads sort of... A respectable top 4 finish... (5-4)
Rochester Stoney Creek- Don't know why but I have a weird feeling that the Cougs might be able to be a thorn in everyone's side this year... (4-5)
Troy- After last seasons complete collapse, and previous season, I'm off the "Troy as a possible contender" bandwagon. Every year they seem to dissapoint... A win over Romeo may jump start them, but highly doubtful... (3-6)
Rochester- They're still rebuilding after the loss of Nick Bradley. Sorry to say this but Rochester's going to find them self near the bottom of the totem pole yet again... (2-7) West Bloomfield- We all knew there had to be one team in this position... West Bloomfield still doesn't have the talent to play with the Red... (0-9)

| White-
Looking at OAA rank central and understanding the potential for Oak Park, it looks like its like there are going to be good games every Friday this season in the White division.
However, trying to stir the pot a little, I'll weakly group my predictions (without supporting them since it is so early):
Upper Tier (in alphabetical order): Farmington Hills Harrison Oxford Rochester Adams Southfield
The NEXT Upper Tier: Farmington North Farmington Oak Park Southfield Lathrup

| The White should be an interesting divion this year, with a bit of a shake up at the top. Here is the order I think they will finish:
1. Harrison is Harrison and will contend for the top spot as usual led by their 2nd year RB.
2. Oak Park (Tie)- The quality of transfers that have joined the team over the past two years is astonishing. They were young last year. And now they are loaded with speed and athleticsm.
2. Farmington (Tie)- The were a young team last year that returns a lot of talent especially up front. If their new QB can handle the speed of this league, they could be a a very good football team.
4. Southfield- They have had some amazing speed and talent the past few years. I'm sure they more waiting in the wings. They will miss there intelligent QB.
5. Adams- Hard to replace TA on both sides of the ball. Good luck at CMU! Their young QB looked good at times last year. Let's see how he does in a full season.
6. Oxford- Mr Irreplaceable is off to SMU. What a stud! I'm not sure they have enough team speed to overcome not having a RB that carries the load, literally! Not to mention the beast he was on the other side of the ball.
7. North Farmington- It's nice to see the three Farmington schools playing each other again. However, the talent in the White is much better compared to the Blue, and, well, they did not exactly dominate that division.
8. Southfield Lathrup- They don't seem to be able to pull enough talent from that city to be complete. It's a shame they have some nice talent each year.
That's my predictions for the year. No matter what, it will be a fun year as usual.
How about the Blue?????

| Ok this is the short story for the OAA Blue. There is no bias either, this is my straight up bold statements.
Lahser (9-0) Seaholm(8-1) Hazel Park (7-2) Avondale (5-4) Berkley (5-4) Ferndale (3-6) Royal Oak (3-6) Groves (2-7) Andover (0-9)
Feel Free to debate with me, because I am willing to defend my prediction.

| Well well well…LKF I think you will have to defend your bold predictions. Let’s just say your name says it all.
Lahser 9-0 come on…not saying they won’t be near the top and certainly make the playoffs again this year but 9-0 is a stretch. Seaholm, Pontiac Notre Dame, Avondale, Hazel Park. At least one of these teams is going to get to Lahser. You need to put the Kool Aid down and don’t choke on your cornbread. Seaholm has the best chance to win the division. Just solid all the way around. If they come up with a replacement for Glazier look out Blue cause it’s already over. I very much agree with your placing of Hazel Park. This is a tough team that will bounce back this year and make the playoffs. Avondale- Don’t know what to think without Robinson. Mike Johnson is outstanding and they have a better than average O-Line. 5-4/6-3 I think is about right. Same with Berkley…they will give some teams nightmares. The only other team I think you have a little low might be Groves…I picture Flaherty to have his team ready to go. I see them closer to 4-5/5-4

| Ok OCF, here it comes.... my reason for Lahser is that the OAA blue isn't as strong as it used to be. NDP is a good squad but they played some easy competition. I want to see that game as it will test the Knights. Seaholm is looking good, but the more I think about it, I can not see Seaholm beating Lahser. Maybe Hazel Park? Lahser has a more well-disciplined than it was last year and the all-around work ethic is amazing. I know Seaholm will be in the hunt, but I feel like Seaholm will be way to overwhelmed by that strong secondary. Also, maybe I was a little harsh on the groves team. They have a lot of youth, but I can see room for error. I can see them at (3-6), (4-5) tops. Everyone else should be in the right spot. Lahser has some serious size compared to other teams. IF seaholm wants a chance at beating lahser, they need to play together and make no mistakes....Or Lahser will bury them. The only thing I know though is that Seaholm will be in the hunt. I can tell you that.
P.S.- This time, I can not put down the kool aid, because it is way to sweet!

| LKF… 1) Lahser is at Seaholm again this year. 2) They are at ND Prep 3) They are at Hazel Park on the natural grass crappy field 4) They have Avondale on the road 5) They are NOT that big…Avondale & Seaholm have better O & D lines 6) Hard work beats talent when talent won’t work! From what I hear not all of the very talent juniors to be work hard…very talented but NOT a good work ethic.
If Lahser wins 7 games I will eat crow. Until then pass me your cornbread please.

| As much as I do not like LKF's statement, I have to agree. Seaholm will be at the top but I will be surprised if Lahser doesn't go 9-0. Seaholm works hard and hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard. However, Lahser has both the "hard work" ethic as well as the talent. That scares me due to the fact that the head coach is making those boys play hard. He has an effect on them that makes them work twice as hard. That group of boys want to go far in the playoffs and they are working harder than ever. Seaholm needs to have the same mentality if they want to beat Lahser. Other than that, everyone else is in the right spot. Last time I checked the schedule, Seaholm is playing at Lahser..

| LKF-What can you tell us about Lahser losing 3 of its coaches from the last few seasons? I heard the D-Coordinator Bill Hurtle left, D-Line Coach Karas and a special teams coach are all gone. I also heard they hired one replacement but not with any real experience.
Can you please let us know what is happening at Lahser. Sounds like bad news for the Lahser defense.

| OCF- It is truly sad to see the DC leave such a great program, but I believe the defense will be fine. The head coach,(Loria), is an expert when it comes to defense. I heard he was the defense coordinator for Grosse Point North a few years back so I believe he can work his magic like he has always. I think Lahser will be fine. Special teams.......we'll see. I'm not so sure what will happen but I feel like the special teams will not be an issue during the season. Last I heard from the team, the offense is getting stronger as well. That Spencer McCourt kid just keeps getting better. He can read the defenses better than he could last year. Anyway, we should just hope for the best for all of the teams in the OAA.
