FINAL REGISTRATION FOR THE 2012 CONNECTICUT NIT IS THIS MONDAY JULY 9TH. IF YOUR TEAM HAS NOT MADE A DEPOSIT AND REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT YET, PLEASE CONTACT US NO LATER THAN MONDAY.

AT THE MOMENT, WE ANTICIPATE BETWEEN 17 AND 20 TEAMS!!!! A few teams have registered for the OPEN division and unless we get an influx of open teams between now and Monday, we will pool all teams together for Saturdays pool play and separate teams for Sundays elimination round. ALL PRO TEAMS MAY NOT QUALIFY FOR SUNDAYS PRO DIVISION!! When we have the final team list and are ready to announce the schedule, we will also inform teams of the cut-off for Sunday. Teams must come to play Saturday or risk not making the cut for Sunday!! Teams who do not make the cut will be placed in the Open division bracket for Sunday

EX.... 17 teams (3 Open), Top 12 PRO registered teams will advance, 13th seeded PRO registered team will fall into Open bracket making a 4 team open bracket

Also, we have decided that the $25 per team that was allotted for the runner-up prize, would be better used as a prize for the OPEN Division Champion, but not in the form of CASH. THE WINNER OF THE OPEN DIVISION WILL RECEIVE A FULL BID(USE IT OR LOSE IT) INTO THE MIKE DISCIPIO BENEFIT TOURNAMENT HELD AUGUST 4TH-5TH IN ALBANY NY. We decided this in an effort to help our fellow flag football brother Mike Discipio have the best event possible. For those that do not know, Mike was a veteran flag player who was paralyzed in a freak accident and this annual event is the highlight of his year, you will never see a happier person then Mike as he wheels up and down the fields watching the great competition. All proceeds form the event are donated to Mike to help cover his medical expenses. We felt this was the best way to help a team that wouldnt have otherwise been able to support the event get another great weekend of football for little to no cost!

ROSTERS......we will be keeping FULL STATISTICS in this weekends event. To do so accurately, we ask that all coachs email their roster to CTFLAG@GMAIL.COM by next Thursday. You may still adjust your roster at the field but a preliminary roster is needed ahead of time. WE ARE NOT ATTEMPTING TO ENFORCE ANY TYPE OF ROSTER CONTROL, THIS IS AN EFFORT TO ADD TO YOUR FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE!! Help us out and get these rosters emailed to us ASAP


MASSAGE THERAPIST/TRAINER.......at the moment we have secured a massage therapist who will have a tent and table set up for players to get adjustments, massages, treatments and bio freeze applications. This is not a free service but will be very reasonable. We are still trying to secure an athletic trainer who will be able to work with the players by taping ankles, wrists etc as well as dealing with minor injuries. AGAIN, THESE WILL NOT BE FREE SERVICES, HOWEVER WE HOPE THEY HELP PLAYERS THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND AND ADD TO YOUR TOURNAMENT EXPERIENCE.


It is our goal to have the schedule completed and posted in a timely fashion and will also announce final prize packages prior to the start of the event!!
